# TITLE ‘galactical’ i ASSOCIATED THE TITLE WITH (ARCADE) GAMES. bringing a connection between gaming and music as they are both in demand. this was also a way to combine the old with the new, as Basement Jaxx have been around since the 1990’s.
# THEME ‘you are the future’ for this interpretation i have used triangles as they represent past/present/future. i have taken advantage of this shape, by incorporating it into the overall packaging design, in which the CD will be encased.
# THE EXISTING IDENTITY when FLO & VICKY came to MMU we had a meeting to show our initial design work. there was a debate whether to keep using the existing identity as it’s so recognizable and since finding out that FELIX had created that identity, it felt natural to leave it as it is, because of that connection. so i have used their existing identity but just changed the layout.
# MY ORIGINAL IDENTITY I HAVE REPLICATED THE TYPE TO SHOWCASE THE BANDS MEMBERS. in an interview they said that they like being a duo because each person has a different opinion and so it gives a new perspective. so in my design once the two are together it shows a different outlook.
