About Me
Hello! My name is Mia Shanley and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying under the Fashion Industry Science and Technology major and minoring in marketing. I am very passionate about the entire creative process as well as the all-encompassing world that is fashion. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of making this look book and hope you enjoy and learn something from it.

History About The Mural
While there is no extensive documentation of history on this exact mural, the artist Danny Martin is a trade mark aritist in the area who mixes traditional and contemporary art to create youthfull yet extremely significant murals all around Tucson. Almost all of his murals take on this high contrast of black and white while almost always including the motif of a sketeton. Many of his murals also tie in elements of western-Latino culture, which is represntative of the culture of Tucson.

The spring/summer 24’ season has brought as many surprises as it has brought inspiration. Two trends that were equally surprising and inspiring that were identified through catwalk research, were motifs of Western or Cowboy aesthetics as seen in the Ralph Lauren, Moschino and Louis Vuitton shows, as well as charm jewelry. In the Chanel and Aniye Records spring/summer 24’ shows, we see charm jewelry mainly in the form of necklaces grace the necks of models in a handful of diffrent contexts proving this style will be essential to closets this season. We see this western/cowboy style also in a handful of different fonts. This trend is displayed in playful, modern ways as well as in traditional “Old Western” ways.
