99 STUDENTS CONVERGE ON MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE

On Friday, March 15, 2024, Miami Shores Village engaged five second grade classes from Miami Shores Elementary School at three of our locations. First stop was at Village Hall for a group picture; then the ninety-nine students were divided into three groups visiting Brockway Memorial Library, the Police Department, and Village Hall. Students were given a tour of each facility followed by questions. Vice Mayor Jesse Valinsky hosted the students at Village Hall, Major Troy and K-9s Bosco and Tango greeted the students at the Police Department, and the students ended with a story at the Library. Organized by MSE teacher, Ileana De La Paz, who said of the visit, “I just wanted to let you know how much the students and second grade teachers enjoyed the field trip. Thank you so much for collaborating and assisting with the field trip experience. I look forward to our future endeavors together.”
