Experiences Lifting my Forester By Michael Dale First off a couple of disclaimers. It's not actually my car, it's my sons - Kadin. Secondly, this is not a how to guide, it's just some light reading with hopefully a bit of entertainment. One of the first questions I asked myself is should I do it, or pay someone else to do it. I did think about outsourcing the job to someone else, but some macabre masochistic streak in me decided that I should have a go. I mean, what could go wrong? There are quite a few in the club that have done it, and armed with a few Youtube videos, I thought: "how hard can it be!" So I went and harassed a few people in the club first about what was involved, what types of lifts were out there, and what tools were needed. I decided on a combination lift - one inch body lift and one inch suspension lift, giving me approximately two inches in total. The springs are actually 30mm longer (an inch is 25.4mm), but will
