Whenwe registered our herd, we didn’t start from scratch. We started with what we knew worked: our own commercial cows. Instead of selling them off to buy a stud nucleus, we backed their genetics and brought them into the stud.
These are the cows that carried our family through droughts, tough markets and generational change. Cows that calve easily every year (2025 Preg. Test was 94.5% across all females – stud and commercial). That they’re easy-doing and they live long. It’s not the usual way, but it’s the foundation of everything we’re building.

Our herd carries 50 years of genetic traceability, giving us deep insight into fertility, longevity and resilience. We started registering cows from 2012, so some EBVs may still appear light.
But don’t mistake lean numbers for light performance. They’re pasture-raised with targeted support.
They’re built to last and come from our cows that raise a calf every year and work well into their teens.

Inspections
Prospective buyers are invited to conduct pre-sale inspections, which can be arranged by contacting The Rocking Chair Ranch Team or the designated selling Agents. All bulls will be available for viewing at the Taroom Selling Complex starting at 9:30 AM on the day of sale, 10th of July, 2025

All bulls in this sale have been vaccinated with & treated for the following:

• Trivalent Tick Fever Vaccine
• Vibrovax (Vibriosis)
• BEF Vaccine (Three Day Fever)
• Internal and External Parasites (worms, lice & fly)
• Scan data and final weights will be available the week before sale day via the QR code on all lots, AuctionsPlus link, or hard copy on sale day. Raised in a tick-free zone, these bulls are free of travel restrictions.
Genetic Conditions: AM, NH, CA, DD
All registered bulls have been tested for the recessive genetic conditions Arthrogryposis Multiplex (AM), Neuropathic Hydrocephalus (NH), Contractural Arachnodactyly (CA), and Developmental Duplication (DD).
None of the registered bulls in this sale carry any of these conditions, and all test results are provided in the catalogue. For further details, results, and more information, you may visit the Angus Australia website. As always, please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Fertility
Each bull has passed a semen test, including both crush-side and morphology assessments. Additionally, a thorough physical examination of the bulls’ external and internal reproductive organs has been conducted. These evaluations were completed in accordance with the BULLCHECK test by the Taroom Veterinary Practice, which includes:

- Scrotal Palpation & Measurement
- Sperm Motility
- Sperm Morphology
Guarantee
If you encounter any issues with one of our bulls, we want to be the first to know so we can work together to resolve the matter quickly. All of our bulls are sold with a 12-month breeding guarantee, effective from the date of sale. If a bull is found to be infertile or incapable of natural service (excluding cases due to injury or disease), we will offer an exchange, replacement, or refund, minus the salvage value. To make a claim, please notify us in writing within 12 months of the sale date and provide a veterinary certificate explaining the infertility. Bulls lost or injured due to accidents, negligence, or disease are not covered under this guarantee. We encourage you to monitor your bulls during the breeding season and keep us in the loop if you have any concerns – we are here to assist you.
Insurance
We strongly recommend insuring your bull from the time of purchase to safe guard your investment. Selling agents will be available on the day of the sale to assist with any insurance inquiries. Kindly note that ownership is transferred upon the fall of the hammer.
