A Message from the Board of Directors

It is that time of year when MGC committees are formed for the upcoming year. The last meeting for our current committees will be held in November (if the chair schedules one). December or January will be the first meeting for the new committees.

Per the Bylaws; all committee chairs and committee members are appointed by the President and approved by the Board; all committee members serve for a one-year term and, subject to the discretion of the Board of Directors, no committee member may serve more than three consecutive terms on the same committee.
To continue to inject fresh ideas, the Board is interested in the participation of new committee members. If you have been on the same committee for three consecutive years, please consider signing up for another committee to allow other members to participate. The appointment of chairs and committee members will be made and communicated by early to mid-December.
November 24th is the deadline for submitting an application to serve on a committee.
For more information on the description of what each of our committees do, please click on the Committee Charters link below. It is recommended you sign up for more than one committee and rank them as to your first choice, second choice, etc. We will do our best to consider: your requests, the Club’s needs to balance each committee and give more members a chance to serve. Please understand that even with multiple requests it is possible you may not be appointed to a committee.
