It’s comfortable and durable. The interior is well-refined with black metallic trim and leather options, reversing camera and LED lighting – interior and exterior. Škoda Connect allows you to sync your device easily so you can play your music to annoy the children on the way to the beach and receive those important calls ensuring you don’t forget to pick up milk on the way home – all through a touch screen that’s a dream to use. There’s an umbrella holder in the door and the rear light in the boot is detachable, enabling it to be used as a torch. These were used in the Škoda Superb and the brand has obviously taken the highlights from one of last year’s ‘car of the year’ competitors and integrated them into the Kodiaq. Door edge protection means no chips in the door paintwork or dings in cars at the supermarket. Now, it’s bespoke, so you can ask Škoda for all the things to make this vehicle your own – great alloys, leather, whatever. So, the trip to the beach was a success. Powerful, agile, the Kodiaq drives fantastically loaded up. I’m a real estate agent and what I really loved was that I could put six ‘open home’ signs in the back, carry the keys in my pocket and open the boot before I got out to unload the back. Push button boot closure so easy! A big help with the school pick-ups too. Now the Kodiaq ticks a lot of boxes for me.
