HEALTHY LIVING PERSONAL TRAINING

WAIST AWAY

Personal training is the science of teaching a client how to use their body correctly and efficiently in every action he or she may execute. This includes, but is not limited to, weight training and cardiovascular exercises. Personal training is frequently used for advances in sport specific training, rehabilitation (pre and post surgery), weight loss, and general fitness.

An eight week fitness program targeted at reducing waist size. Don’t be discouraged by the numbers on the scale any longer! Losing fat while gaining muscle can cause your weight to remain the same while your body shape and health improve for the better. Many people give up on new fitness programs because they aren’t “losing weight!” Waist measurement can give a more accurate view of your progress.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PRESCHOOL & SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE Welcome to the Lynn YMCA licensed Child Care Programs. We are delighted that you are considering choosing one of our programs for your child(ren). We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing experience for your child with plenty of opportunities for growth in spirit, mind and body. A child spends a tremendous amount of time in preschool, afterschool and school vacation programs, during which significant developmental impacts and milestones occur. In all settings attitudes are formed, ideas of self worth are developed, relationships with peers and adults are experienced and young bodies grow strong and competent. Our programs are designed to provide each child with a variety of positive, healthy and engaging activities throughout each day. The staff are trained and experienced in working with children. Many of them are working towards a degree in education or in the human service field. The YMCA provides them with ongoing trainings, meetings and support throughout the year. All our staff comply with the Department of Early Education and Care’s requirements for the position they hold, and are trained in first aid and CPR. -Tania Buck Ruffen, Director of Childcare Services
