Gecko,

spider, fly and beetle use natural fibers to attach to different surfaces. Gecko’s fibers are finer and more numerous.

Gecko’s nano-scale fibers adapt to the surface geometry, and mobilize numerous molecular interactions for attachment.

Gecko spreads out and closes in its toes for strong attachment and convenient detachment, respectively, by altering the contact angle of fibers.
