Dear Future Mercy Girls,

Congratulations on your admission to Mercy High School, Burlingame! We are extremely proud to welcome you into our sisterhood. In the walls of our school, we celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and provide a strong foundation for each student to build themselves upon. We support your passions and help you to develop the courage to act on your beliefs. At Mercy, you are a girl of purpose, and there is nothing better than the feeling of pride you get when wearing our skirt as you walk the halls with grace, integrity, and joy! As the six of us look back on our four years at Mercy, we recognize that it has been the support from the faculty, students, and community of Mercy that has made us into the confident, well-rounded, and strong women we are today. We are proud to say Mercy has taught us how to overcome the barriers that prevent us from becoming our best selves, and we all agree that we would not be the people we are today without our Mercy experience. When you begin your journey at Mercy, remember to explore new things, challenge yourself, and be confident in your ability to reach your full potential. We cannot wait for you to join our sisterhood!

What a year it has been! We are so thrilled to be looking toward the future and welcoming an incredible new class of freshmen and transfer students to our campus and our community next year. At Mercy, we have worked for 90 years to provide a dynamic and purpose-driven education to young women of substance. We have made an impact on thousands of young women, now spread throughout the world. So when our world turned upside down this past year, it showed us how strongly the Mercy foundation is felt throughout our entire community.

Sincerely,

Mercy's Administrative Team Natalie Cirigliano Brosnan ‘02 Ed.D. Head of School

Throughout the Admissions process, you showed yourself to be the resilient and driven type of young woman we are so proud to welcome here at Mercy. The future is looking brighter and we are so honored to have the opportunity to partner with you and to support you throughout your high school years. We welcome you to experience all that Mercy has to offer.

While our students transitioned to distance learning within a day, we refused to compromise on offering all of the additional points of connection we knew our students wanted and needed. We continued to offer small classes with teachers who deeply knew and looked out for each and every student. We maintained extracurricular activities that ranged from yoga to clubs; from strength and conditioning to peer tutoring. We watched as our faculty not only stepped up in superhuman ways to provide a quality education at a distance, but also cheered at the opportunity to bring students back to campus in the Spring. The spirit of Mercy became even stronger as it was tested. We cannot wait to begin the 2021-2022 school year on campus with you as one of our students!

A Catholic Mercy Education At Mercy, we are committed to creating a learning environment where students can explore their personal values, spirituality and faith. Through an examination of Catholic teachings and the educational vision of the Sisters of Mercy, you will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of your own values and spiritual journey, social issues, and the importance of service to others. In Religion Classes and Campus Ministry activities, students explore their relationship with God through personal prayer, liturgy, retreats, and community activities. Compassion, service, and justice are at the heart of a Mercy education.
