Scyll an Charybdi The myth of the Scylla and Charybdis was the 9th adventure after having passed the siren’s songs,they were moving towards the strait of Messina were Scylla and Charybdis were situated . The main characters of the myth were Odiseo and his crew and the two rocks. On one side of the strait was Charybdis, a giant whirlpool. And in the other side was Scylla, a six headed monster, made by Circe in a jealous rage because she was in love with the sea-god Glaucus,but the god didn’t return the love to Circe so she turn an unfortunate girl in a six headed monster. When Odiseo and his crew arrived the strait,they found with the two rocks and the problem of not knowing rock was the best option to go through.So after thinking about this problem,they decided to pass throughgy6 Scylla,but she snatched and killed six of his men, one for each head

Ancient historians thought that Scylla and Charybdis were located in the in a marine strait that separate Sicilia from the peninsular Italy.This strait is named as Messina strait. Nowadays following the new studies they reach the conclusion that is in the same place.
