PITCH DELIVERY Pitchers will have 20 seconds to start their wind-up or begin their motion to come to the set position. The clock will stop and turn off as soon as the pitcher begins either motion. The timer will start when the pitcher has the ball on the mound while the batter is in the dirt circle around home plate.

The timer will be reset following an umpire’s call of time out, or after a dead ball. The clock will start when the pitcher is on the rubber and the batter is in the box. The timer will reset if a pitcher attempts a pick-off move or steps off the rubber with runners on base. The time clock can always be reset at an umpire’s discretion. If the clock reaches zero before a pitcher has started his wind-up or motion to become set, an automatic ball will be awarded to the batter.

INNING BREAKS The time clock will count down from 2:25 in between innings. The lead-off batter of an inning should be in the batter’s box with 20 seconds remain-
