SHINSEGAE DEPARTMENT STORE CENTUM CITY | THE WORLD’S LARGEST
Listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest department store in the world, Shinsegae doesn’t disappoint shopping lovers on any level. In addition to encompassing an astounding array of retail stores, the mega-store features a multiscreen theater (including IMAX), an indoor ice rink, a spa complex, a four-story golf driving range, an impressive international food court, restaurants, and more. Located in Centum City, close to Haeundae Beach and well connected to the rest of the city by public transport, you could easily spend a whole day exploring this amazing monument to shopping. In 2016, Shinsegae opened a massive expansion of this Centum City landmark with the opening of the Shinsegae Mall. Already the world’s largest department store, the expansion increases the overall size of the shopping facility by 50% to 198,462 square meters. Shinsegae Mall is attached to the original department store via a 3rd-floor bridge walkway and contains the new Lotte Duty-Free Store, 60 luxury brand stores, and a children’s amusement park.
