PROJECT 1: Photo Collage Layout: abloid portrait oriented 11inch wide and 17inch tall document on 300dpi size Techniques: Use of several selection tools in combination to get clean selection ans used mask and select to clean up the selections. The concept of the work is “childish imagination” wanted to make the image look like the backyard filled with toys and items that can be found in a home. The process for this project was first getting an anchor I can start building an idea off so I started building a background using 3 different images so I can make a backyard. With each image I choose I would use the quick selection tool so I can grab as much of the subject as I can with minimal background. If the quick selection tool kept on grabbing uneeded portions of the image I would go in with the lasso tool and reduce or get rid of those portions to make a cleaner selection. I would also go into the select and mask option to refine the selection so I can grab the small pixels the other selection tools can’t ignore and make a clean cutout of the subject.

Project 2: Profile
Design a custom profile for a platform
Techniques:
-Photography color correcting -Adjustment layers -Artboards -Create and manage layers and groups Vector Shapes
First I created a a banner and profile frame using vector shapes to define the top portion of the page in both artboards. I then inserted the message and follow button under the banner I also used vector shapes with text overlayed to create them. The description text under those buttons to create the middle portion of the page. I use vector shapes and clipping makes to create the stories and posts in the bottom half of the image.

design a poster in an 11x17 inch size 300 dpi resolution landscape or portrait only use photos you were taking theme could be anything from movie poster to event advertising or other options add plenty of typography and vector shapes For this project I choose to take pictures using a digital camera and edited the pictures in photoshop to be as dark or bright as needed. I used a picture of my pc mesh and darkens the edges to make it seem the pattern blends to black. Then for the second picture I made a layer mask so I make it blend with the background, I achieved this by using the gradient tool on the mask to make it look like the background fades to the foreground. For the typography I used the SirinStencil font because it had spaces in the letters making it close to neon tone lettering. I edited the title and catchphrase using layer styles to make it look like a neon sign style font. The concept of the work is a movie on a video game and since its a cyberpunk theme I made it have neon signs and a grid pattern in the background.

From left to right the images shown would be the Album cover, Playlist Cover, and Podcast cover. For the Album cover I edited the photo to erase some people to make it empty and used the curves tool’s auto function to cancel the image. Then used the ellipse shape tool to make a fake sun over the ocean and added a gradient fill, after that to make the fake sun be a part of the picture I selected the building and made a copy layer the overlays the original. The typography is a font on photoshop that I made 3D and twisted a bit in illustrator. For the Playlist cover I used the curve tool to brighten the colors and darken the shadows to where everything is oversaturated. I then using the quick selection tool I selected the black and blues from the subject and made a copy and then made the subject darker using layer blending since you can still see details of the outfit. The Title was made 3D and extended with a taper to make it pop more from the image. The Podcast cover used gradient fills for a background and border. I deleted and masked the dog and refined the edges using the refine brush tool and added it to the center. I also aded texture to the background by blending an image of my desk. The title is made 3d is illustrator which was extended and twisted to make a

Design a magazine advertisement for two different size with he same content: full page and half a page iteration Also create variations for each with different images, fonts and colors (total 3 version per each). Total page numbers: 6
For this project I used layer masking to get the cut outs needed for the pages and used vector shapes and type to make the title. I used blending modes an gradient fills to make the background, reflections, and the dashscreen overlay. I starteed with editng and coloring the photos in photoshop and added the shapes and typography in illustrator after. This was my idea of a advertisment for the nissan versa as an afordable first time car.

The concept of my webpage is a character and hobby shop where people by themed goods and memorabilia with also a second had store aspect. The layout is sectioned by boxes and lines. I made a dotted outline where the user can interact with the options and merchandise while having the top half be the brand/ company focus. The top of the webpage would have the logo that has a font that matches the theme of the shop. Below the logo would be the options of the categories for the different sections of the website. On the right of that would be the search bar if the suer needs to search for something specifically. Below that would be a grey vector box that would have options to help refine the search on the page. Below the box would be where the merchandise is shown with pictures and typography that identifies each image with name and price.

For this project I took up close pictures of objects to get as much detail on the subject as possible. For the calendar layout I used a pattern background that I recolored using illustrator’s image them option so it uses colors that match the photo. I used a grey vector box as the backdrop of the text. For the text I created the layout using area type options. I added the images that were edited in photoshop by clicking them to a shape I made using the pen tool in illustrator.

For this project I went a for a vaporware/ street fashion aesthetic. For the photo I combined two photos by mask layers. I also used adjustment layers and blending modes to get the Black and white look on the photo. Then for the magazine portion I used grids and vector shapes to design a background and logo for the magazine. For the instagram post and story I used adobe express to edit the image colors and typography to design a new ad for the platform.
