Shepreth Spitfires www.sheprethspitfires.co.uk Our youngest Spitfires team played their first league match at Eternit and Noah scored the team's first ever goal! Both Noah and Louis were awarded Player of the Match. Jack the team’s coach and all the players had a fantastic game; lots of enjoyment was had by this enthusiastic young team! The under 10’s team had a free week football fixture this month so for a great training & team building event, they attended local company OTG. Lots of smiling faces and excellent performances were had by all! In their first game, Shepreth Spitfires under 11’s Squadron 66 had a tremendous 6-1 win against Isleham Whites. Charlie H and Charlie B were solid in defending goalkeeper Jayden, and Hari, Freddie and Charlie W were relentless up front. Team Captain Gus and Riley were outstanding with much of our play going through them. Walter on the left and Alfred on the right saw lots of the ball and again lots of forward play stemmed from them. James and Hardy were great substitutes and slotted well into the team. Players of the Match awards were given to Gus and Riley. Squadron 66 were also sponsored by Ifixit Royston who presented this team with rain jackets and football boot bags. Thanks to Meldreth company Sweetheart Designs Limited for personalising the kit. One of our Shepreth Spitfires under 12 team members was invited by local 'Radio Live' to participate on the commentary of the Cambridge United football match against Port Vale. He gave a great rendition of this professional match and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! All teams were adorning pristine new kits generously sponsored by Hot Numbers.
