Norman Clark (1933 – 2020)
Norman lived in Meldreth for many years with his late wife, Doreen. He worked for the Atlas Stone Company until he retired in the early 90’s. You could then often see him attending to various gardens around the village. He was also known in the village for cutting the bowls green, which he did for over 25 years. His hobby in later life, as well as producing an amazing vegetable plot, was stationary engines. He spent many hours renovating and running them in his large garden. After losing Doreen in 2011, Norman enjoyed a pint in the British Queen each evening, where you could always find him in the corner of the bar. For the last three years of his life he was residing at a care home in Cambridge. Norman will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Serena Gibson
