Would You Like to Help Hedgehogs? A small charity caring for hedgehogs is in urgent need of secure gardens where disabled hogs can live out their days in safety. If you have a garden which is fully surrounded by walls, or by fences with gravel boards at the base, then it may be suitable. Please get in touch with me for more details, or pass the message on to anyone else nearby who might be able to help. Alternatively, if your garden isn't fully secure, then you could make it even easier for the wild hedgehogs in our village to get around from garden to garden by making a small doorway about the size of a CD case in your boundary for them to pass through, known as a hedgehog highway. They need to freely roam to search for food and can travel up to one mile every night. Being able to slip directly from garden to garden will keep them from danger on the roads.
