Saturday 4th June, 10.00am to 4.00pm St. Ives Antiques Fair Burgess Hall, Westwood Road, Cambridgeshire PE27 6WU Fun and friendly antiques fair with around 50 dealers selling affordable antique and vintage pieces - ceramics, glass, maps, postcards, silver, jewellery, small pieces of furniture etc. Plenty of free parking, wheelchair access and on-site catering. Entry £2.50, concessions £2. Friday 10th June, 3.00pm to 4.00pm From Darwin to Dodos - University Museum of Zoology David Attenborough Building Downing Street, Cambridge CB2 3EJ Uncover the stories behind the Museum’s fascinating collections, from the beetles of Charles Darwin to the tale of their fin whale. What did Darwin collect on the Voyage of The Beagle and what can we learn about the man and his theories on evolution? Hear about all this and more on a guided tour of one of Cambridge’s hidden gems. Free but suggested donation of £5. Suitable for ages 12 plus. Sunday 19th June, 2.30pm to 5.30pm Madingley Hall Open Garden Madingley Hall, Cambridge CB23 8AQ Eight acres of attractive grounds landscaped by Capability Brown with walled garden, hazel walk, alpine beds, topiary, rose pergola and medicinal border. Admission £6, children free. Home-made teas in St Mary Magdalene Church in the Hall grounds (Hall itself not open). Tuesday 21st June, 10.00am to 12noon Summer Wildflowers of Wandlebury Wandlebury Country Park, Gog Magog Hills CB22 3AE Want to learn more about wild flowers? Enjoy a gentle walk around the woods and meadows of Wandlebury with one of the wardens who will help you identify them. Meet at the noticeboard in the car park. Free event but donations to conservation work at Wandlebury appreciated. 12
