This month saw the delightful Columbian artist Iaki Vallejo grace the Primrose Potter Salon stage for two Relaxed Performances She and her band had the audience up and dancing to some beautiful rhythms, and even singing along in parts!

Lunchtime singing sessions for Southbank,
This month, our weekly Choir continued a tour of the Southbank Arts Precinct, with sessions held in Melbourne Theatre Company, Grant Street Theatre, and Federation Hall
The Choir 3006 members are gearing up for a small performance at the end of the year.

Supporting the creation of new Australian Music
This month, both the artists and composers for the Merlyn Myer Music Commission and the Marshall McGuire Emerging Composers Commission gathered in the Salon for their final rehearsals ahead of the world premiere performances in October.

Performance Competition for artists 18 - 25 years
In September we hosted ACOCO (Australian Contemporary Opera Company) for the Free Music Open Rehearsal session in Primrose Potter Salon It was the first time this audience were able to see opera up close and personal for this series, and they were very engaged, asking many interesting questions.
VCE Young Artist Development Program
2026 applications for our Young Artist Development program, Accelerando, closed in September with over 14 young hopefuls from across Victoria, including the north-western Mallee region through to Wangaratta, vying for a place next year. Auditions will be held in November.
