four Seasons of EVENTS






Every season provides the perfect setting for its own unique events. Winter begins with holiday events and Lake George Area Winterfest (different from Lake George Winter Carnival), which highlights winter activities around the region all season long. Weather permitting, January ushers in the world-class Ice Castles attraction and Ice Bar and Lounge Season filled with intricate ice sculptures and tasty cocktails. Every weekend in February Lake George is buzzing with Lake George Winter Carnival, plus snowshoe, ski, snowmobile, and ATV events.
In the spring, there are Thurman Maple Days, the St. Patrick’s Day parade and festivities, and historical reenactments. Adirondack Thunder Hockey games in Glens Falls span several seasons from late fall through spring. There are craft beverage festivals such as Barrel Fest at Adirondack Pub & Brewery and more. During holidays like Easter and Mother’s Day there are brunches and other events. May and June include events like Americade Motorcycle Rally, Law Enforcement Officers Weekend, and the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival

During the summer, enjoy Take A Bite in Glens Falls, FREE music and entertainment in Shepard Park and fireworks in Lake George. Plus, there’s the Lake George Art and Craft Festival in July. The Lake George Music Festival brings world-class musicians to the area for two weeks of harmony in and around Lake George in August.




Car shows are a common find in the region, with Adirondack Nationals Car Show in September as the largest. The Adirondack Balloon Festival typically lifts off in September as well. The fall foliage is complemented by Oktoberfest season and more. In every season you’ll find farmers’ markets and craft fairs, perfect for shoppers who like unique finds.
