Tasting Room Terms

Acidity: Amount of citric, tartaric or malic acid in a wine.

Barrel or Cask-Aging: Aging liquid in wooden (often oak) barrel or cask.

Double or Imperial

IPA: Uses double the hops resulting in more intense hop flavor and a higher alcohol content.

Hops: Used as a bittering, flavoring and stability agent in beer. Produces floral, or citrus flavors/ aromas.

IPA: India Pale Ale. Hop forward in flavor and aroma. Hops are often incorporated at multiple steps during brewing.

Lager: Beer brewed ly owned and operated. We are dedicated to crafting the very finest ales and lagers in small 3-barrel batches. Mean Max offers a wide variety of styles so there is always something for everyone!
