Transforming lives by equipping sustainable medical ministries in developing countries is our goal – and has been since 1963. MBF is an international Christcentered organization. We are dedicated to building long-term partnerships that equip the local church in each country with the tools and resources to meet their community’s medical needs and share God’s good news. MBF has served over 140 partners in the developing world (hospitals, clinics, and nursing schools) in 34 countries.
Based in Houston, Texas, MBF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization in the USA. Visit our website to learn more: www.mbf.org.
Life Changing Impact Through Your Ministry
Meet Hadassa, a resilient soul who, despite facing the profound loss of her father during her senior year of high school, emerged stronger than ever. Little did she know that with the support of an MBF scholarship funded by compassionate hearts like yours, she would embark on a transformative journey at FSIL Nursing College in Haiti.
As part of God’s ultimate plan for her life, Hadassa completed her studies and emerged as the top student in her class. Today, she stands poised to bring about the positive change her community deserves.

Meet Samwel, an orphan from Meru, Kenya.

Like many kids in his country, he couldn’t chase his educational dreams because he had to work small jobs to help his uncle meet daily needs. Life threw him another curveball when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis twice as a child.
Chest pain, cough, and body aches led him to our incredible partner, PCEA Chogoria Hospital that sees over 125,000 outpatients and admits more than 5,000 inpatients annually, many of whom can’t afford primary medical care.
Samwel got the quality care he needed at the Chest Clinic, where he received necessary medication and scheduled a follow-up visit to prevent any chances of a TB relapse. Now, he has a chance for a healthier, longer life. All this is possible because of you.
The Malawi Surgical Network
In lower and middle-income countries, a staggering 9 out of 10 people lack access to safe and affordable surgical care. In the case of Malawi, a nation with a population of 20 million, roughly equivalent to that of New York, there are only approximately 50 trained surgeons available. Recognizing this critical gap, MBF has assembled 5 mission hospitals and over 24 clinics to establish Malawi’s inaugural surgical network, a groundbreaking initiative addressing the dire need for accessible surgical services.

Mission hospitals can no longer rely on foreign physicians; it is not a sustainable, long-term solution. MBF actively collaborates with local partners to introduce surgical and specialty residency

programs within mission hospitals. This strategic approach aims to empower and equip local healthcare professionals, ensuring an enduring impact on the healthcare landscape in the countries we serve. Since its inception in 2019, the surgical residency program has seen remarkable growth, now boasting 5 international faculty members and 4 dedicated surgical residents poised to enact transformative change. The success of this pilot initiative in Malawi marks the commencement of a larger vision, with plans underway to replicate this model in 20 locations worldwide. Through these endeavors, your MBF ministry is addressing a healthcare disparity and pioneering a sustainable, global solution that transcends borders and transforms lives. 50 20 SURGEONS MILLION PEOPLE 1/3 OF MALAWIANS NEED A SURGERY BUT LACK ACCESS TO A SURGEON
