LIBRARY LIFE EMILY MACAULAY shares the latest from Exeter Library For us, every week is libraries week! But specifically 8-13 October 2018 – the official ‘Libraries Week’ – and we’ll be celebrating with a heap of events and opportunities for you to get involved. Bestselling author Lesley Pearse is with us on 9 October (tickets available from Exeter Library). On the same day, our FabLab is having an Open Day, so if you’ve ever wanted to have a close-up look at a 3D printer, or a laser cutter, or a CNC router… – or have no idea what any of those are but are curious to know – just drop in. There’s also the chance to have a White Glove Experience with our old and unique books if you missed the recent Heritage Open Days. From 9.30am-1pm on 11 October we’re showing the new documentary film ExLibris, about the New York Public Libraries, free of charge, and holding a Language Café on 14 October.
