Supporting care for malnourished children

» ACTIVITIES MdM provided refresher training for health staff on malnutrition treatment protocols, impro=%$&'(%&"2?-#+*-'+"#-;&3-!-4+;+'+%*&"5&'(%&$+*'2+3'&7-#-?%7%#'&'%-7*<&+7!2"=%$&'(%&)">&"5&+#5"2mation, trained community workers to identify cases of malnutrition, equipped and supported nutritional recovery centres which care for complicated cases. Finally, MdM facilitated the distribution of nutritional supplies provided by the World Food Programme and Unicef, and built up a supply to be able to cope with gaps in provision.

The project will be completed in February 2011. MdM is going to integrate a nutrition component into a large integrated family planning programme in Illéla district, because projects in the region have shown that the problem of child malnutrition is directly linked to the length of time 4%'>%%#&!2%?#-#3+%*&A4+2'(&*!-3+#?@/
