Like most companies in aviation, flydubai endured a tough 2020. The Airline suffered record losses and the challenge to rebuild and recover would have been a mountainous task for any CEO. Despite these uniquely challenging circumstances, the winner of our award for CEO of the year, Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai dirhams ($229 million), surpassing even pre-pandemic levels. This remarkable feat was achieved by sound management, exceptional leadership and a solid foundation of safety and reliability throughout the customer journey.
