Bahrain International Airport’s new passenger terminal began operations on 28 January 2021, marking a new era for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s aviation sector. The new terminal is four times the size of the legacy airport increasing the airport’s capacity to 14 million passengers per year. It is also supported by new stateof-the-art infrastructure and the latest technologies available in the market. It was designed to deliver a hassle-free customer experience, whilst maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

The new airport would be a notable achievement at the best of times, but what made its completion truly exceptional was that the work was done during the height of the Pandemic. The new airport will help support the growth of tourism in Bahrain and lead to long-term economic development.
