The winner is responsible for Bahrain’s transport infrastructure including policy, regulation, development and delivery of projects. The success of these important high-profile and top-level sectors have been clear hallmarks of the winners’ outstanding stewardship. However, standing out to the judges was the poise and precision with which he led the new Airport Development. Despite coinciding with the most challenging period in aviation history, brought by the global Covid-19 pandemic, the new Airport project was not only completed on time but also on budget. The successful achievement of this project at this time is a prime example of leadership at its best and stands out in what has been a lifetime of achievements.
