about MDesign MDesign started like a hobby when I was about 17 years old. A friend of mine brought me some self adhesive paper from a printing company and I started to draw on it with markers and cut it with my mothers nail scissors and give them to my friends like a gift. After that a few people started to ask me to make them different types of stickers. I found a shop where they were selling different colored self adhesive vinyl and I started draw and cut - now water proof stickers. I was introduced to CorelDRAWŽ 5 and desdemona.ttf by a friend who had a PC and a matrix printer, I had the thin paper, the paper glue and my mother’s scissors. Then it all began. I started working for a company - not a sign making one - here I used their computers to study Corel Draw until I was able to take care of all the companies needs such as shop front signs, window vinyls (20 shops), printed stationery, business cards etc I continued to study also CorelPHOTO-PAINT, Adobe Photoshop. I started to work for my self sign making, printing and many other aspects of design whilst holding down my full time job. As work continued to come in more regularly over a period of around 6 years by which time I had already purchased my self a PC, an inkjet printer and later a ROLAND vinyl cutter, decided to set up on my own. This basically was the beginning. Over the last seven years I have built up a good local reputation and now have several medium and larged sized account customers and of course I also have anything which the general public bring to me on a day by day basis. I have my own studio where customers come to me to discuss requirements and where I can show them designs of their choice with the aid of CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Whisqu SignCut and of course my own input and thoughts until such time as the customer is delighted. The nature of my work has included extensive cut and printed vinyl for signs, vehicles (I have almost all taxis to clad in this town). Vinyl work on account for car dealer ships such as Toyota, Subaru, Suzuki, Peugeot for forecourts and exhibitions, window vinyls and signs for shop frontage and businesses, illuminated signs hand made from various profiles. Design and printing services ranging from business cards to catalogues.
about MDesign Also the obscure such as personalized lighters, pens and T-shirts etc. Polystyrene 3D lettering for signs and all of which I have installed at the customers premises myself as and when required. I now have 12 years experience of the industry and have regularly declined offers of employment by larger local competitors. This work is nothing without imagination and a certain artistic ability of which I feel I have. I would be willing to undertake any design trials for a potential employer in the first instance done via internet. I would like to expand my skills and I am looking to make a move to a company where I can be valued for what I know and at the same time gain new experiences.
