THE CRANE CO. GRIT

CUTLER CRANE GALLERIES & OUR MISSION

Adam and I have a personal passion for art, with contemporary art being high on our list We are believers that art can elevate your mood and physical well-being as well as bolster interpersonal bonds between tenants and clients

According to Arlington Museum of Art in Texas, when we see art we enjoy, whether it’s photo realistic or abstract, our brain releases dopamine (the happiness-producing brain chemical) and blood flow in the brain, which enhances critical thinking and other cognitive skills.

This is why we have chosen to enhance our community of Crane Co by including art space and galleries throughout the building. Many of you have joined us for tenant events & fundraisers in the gallery, but for those of you who have not yet, here is a little information about the Cutler Crane Galleries

We have 2 main public galleries, located on the main floor & lower studio level, with all the other floors being showcase style area

Cutler Crane Gallery 1: (main floor) is where we have works of art that rotate from time to time with new works that include either local artists or feature work from our personal collection of art. The works featured are from international artists with a strong presence from Montreal /Toronto artists out of Canada, our hometowns, and Memphis local artists who we have come to work with and love over the years. The gallery represents both emerging and established artists Many of these works are for sale

Cutler Crane Contemporary: (lower studio level)

Here we feature our public exhibitions and fundraising activities and local community events You can drop into the main floor galleries anytime that Sandra has the main floor doors open Otherwise, if you want to drop into our lower-level gallery to view the present exhibition, “Creativity Explored, A Journey of Inspiration” which is up until the end of May ask Sandra to give you access Or visit online here

The galleries are “Not for Profit” and our mission is to share great art that attracts seasoned art collectors and first-time buyers who are visiting Memphis or local Memphians who are looking for new discoveries. We want the world to know that Memphis can be a destination for great art! All our exhibitions and events directly fuel the Memphis community by giving 50% of sales to the artists and the other 50% back to the community

The Art Star Wall: Most recently we have created an Art Star Award to acknowledge and celebrate local artists who may not get the recognition they deserve. You will find that in the our Lobby beside the elevator We hope you will take time to read their bio, look at the work and perhaps find a place for it in your home or office

I am always happy to talk art with anyone who wants to know more about our galleries / artists or share your thoughts with me Feel free to reach out
