Christopher T. Sununu, Governor Minors Take Notice. You must be 21 years old to purchase/possess beverage alcohol. “A minor who falsely represents his age for the purpose of procuring liquor or beverages and who procures such liquor or beverages shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.” RSA 179:8 mandates of all servers of alcohol, that if they have any questions as to the age of the person attempting to buy alcohol, then they must challenge them to prove their age. In so doing the law specifically states what is an acceptable ID with which age may be proved. They are as follows: 1. Picture DRIVER'S LICENSE from the State of N.H. or a picture license from any other state or Canada. 2. Picture NON-DRIVER ID from the state of N.H. or a picture ID card issued by another state agency. 3. Picture MILITARY ID CARD, either active duty reservist or dependents ID card. 4. Picture U.S. PASSPORT, or passport from a country that has diplomatic relations with the U.S.
