McKIBBON HOSPITALITY FOUNDATION As much as we’ve evolved since our founding, one thing hasn’t changed. We’re still a family company dedicated to the communities we call home. Through the McKibbon Family Foundation, we give back to dozens of causes near and dear to our hearts.

McKIBBON MATCHING FUNDS PROGRAM We set the stage for charitable giving with McKibbon’s Matching Funds Program – our way of showing associates that we are as invested as they are. Through this successful program, our corporate foundation matches every single dollar earned through hotel fundraising events and volunteering. Over the past several years, we’ve raised millions for non-profit organizations across the country.

ALOFT FOSTER DOG PROGRAM Connecting foster dogs in need with their forever homes, the trailblazing Aloft Foster Dog Program got its start in 2014 at our Aloft Asheville Downtown property. Through the program, foster dogs reside in a special enclosure in the hotel lobby, increasing their exposure to potential adoptive families and bringing smiles to guests’ faces. Hotel employees walk, care for, and play with the dogs, which are adoptable by both hotel guests and locals following an application process to ensure the dog and prospective parents are a good match, as well as an adoption fee. In addition to Aloft Asheville Downtown, McKibbon’s Aloft Tallahassee Downtown, Aloft Greenville Downtown, and Aloft Orlando Downtown have also implemented foster dog programs in partnership with local rescue organizations, with all four hotels collectively finding permanent homes for hundreds of dogs. The program has been featured in leading news outlets including People Magazine, O Magazine, Conde Nast, The New York Times, and more and has since inspired hotels across the country to start similar programs of their own.

OUR LEADERS JOHN McKIBBON CHAIRMAN A third-generation entrepreneur with over 40 years of hospitality experience, John McKibbon serves as chairman of McKibbon Hospitality. McKibbon enlisted in the family business in 1977, which began with his grandfather’s Piggly Wiggly grocery franchise in Gainesville, Georgia. As his father branched out into restaurants and motels, McKibbon followed suit, serving as a hotel general manager and regional manager before eventually earning the top spot of President of the company in 1991. After being named President, he began divesting the company of its older properties and established a strong relationship with Marriott International, becoming one of the first Courtyard franchisees in the country. In 2011, McKibbon refocused the company’s vision and launched a lifestyle hotel division that includes Aloft Hotels and AC Hotels. He actively supports various nonprofits, particularly those in the communities where he and his staff live and work and empowers every McKibbon associate to do the same.

VANN HERRING CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Vann Herring serves as McKibbon Hotel Management’s Chief Executive Officer, guiding long-range planning and strategic direction for the company. Herring joined McKibbon in 1990 as Director of Operations and was later promoted to President of McKibbon Hotel Management in 1996. His vast range of experience in the hospitality industry includes roles as Director of Operations at Edmundson Hotel Management Company and Senior Vice President for United Inns, Inc. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Vann Herring holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is a past president of Marriott’s TownePlace Suites Franchise Council and member of Hilton’s Homewood Suites Franchise Council.

JOE TAGGART CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Joe Taggart joined McKibbon in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all McKibbon entities, including real estate, hotel development, management,renovations and the McKibbon Family Investment Fund. Taggart brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and financial expertiseto McKibbon, much of it in the realm of commercial real estate, and manages the company’s accounting, cash management, insurance, property and income tax, partnership-owned finance, and audits. Prior to joining McKibbon, he spent 12 years at Valley National Bank and its predecessor, USAmeriBank in Tampa as Senior Vice President, Florida CRE manager and stakeholder preceded by his time as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending for Colonial Bank. Taggart earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Virginia and attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

RANDY HASS EN PRESIDENT Randy Hassen joined McKibbon Hospitality in 1991 as a Houseman at the former Days Inn Athens (now Courtyard Athens) and has served as President of the company since 2012. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Hassen was named the opening General Manager of McKibbon’s Courtyard Tampa North in 1995, where he was awarded General Manager of the Year from Marriott International. In 1998, he went on to open a second hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown. Hassen was promoted to Director of Operations in 2000, Vice President of Operations in 2007, and Senior Vice President of Operations in 2009. He serves on the AC Hotels Franchise Advisory Council and is involved with many Tampa non-profit organizations.

BRUCE BAERWALDE EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS Bruce Baerwalde serves as McKibbon Hospitality’s Executive Vice President of Operations, responsible for supervision of the 90-plus hotels in the company’s management portfolio. A tenured hospitality professional, he joined the company in 1996 as the opening General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Gainesville, Florida. The following year in 1997, he moved to the Residence Inn by Marriott brand, serving as opening General Manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa North, which was awarded Opening Hotel of the Year by Marriott International. In 1998, Baerwalde moved on to open the Courtyard by Marriott Maitland/Orlando and was recognized by Marriott as Opening General Manager of the Year for his efforts. He was promoted to Director of Operations in 2000, and Vice President of Operations in 2007, Senior Vice President in 2009, and to his current role as Executive Vice President in 2012. Bruce currently serves on Hilton’s Product Advisory Council and in 2022, was appointed President of Marriott’s Aloft Franchise Advisory Council.

LYNN PRATER SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES & MARKETING Lynn Prater joined McKibbon in 1996 as General Manager of the Residence Inn Macon before moving into a corporate role as Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining McKibbon, Prater worked for Marriott overseeing two hotels while also serving as a sales trainer for the Southeast region. As our Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Lynn oversees our revenue generation team, including Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, and eCommerce. She has served on Homewood Suites & Home2 by Hilton Extended Stay Sales Task Force and Hilton Garden Inn by Hilton Sales Advisory Council.

J.B. McKIBBON VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSET MANAGEMENT JB McKibbon, IV, the fourth-generation family member to work for the company, joined McKibbon Hospitality in 2017 as Vice President of Asset Management. His responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of existing McKibbon investments as well as sourcing and underwriting new investments, including acquisitions and ground-up development. McKibbon brings more than 10 years of professional hospitality experience as well \as a lifetime living in and around the business. Prior to joining the family business, he worked as Senior Asset Manager for Apple Hospitality REIT, where he consulted with multiple third-party management organizations including Marriott International, InnVentures and True North to ensure strong financial results for their respective Apple-owned portfolios. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Managerial Sciences from the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

BEN HOM VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES Ben Hom was appointed Vice President of Human Resources in 2019, leading McKibbon’s recruitment, retention, and associate wellness and benefits initiatives. Hom previously held various HR leadership roles within the healthcare industry, with organizations such as GE and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. He graduated from Northwestern University with a Master’s in Business Administration and received his SPHR certification in 2015 in addition to being Six Sigma Green and Black Belt Certified. Ben serves as the Chair of Career Source Tampa Bay.

LAUREN BOWLES VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS Lauren Bowles joined McKibbon in 2014 as Director of Communications and was promoted to her current role as Vice President of Communications in early 2019, overseeing our hotels’ communications, public relations, marketing, and branding efforts. Prior to joining McKibbon, Lauren worked for the Tampa Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau, now known as Visit Tampa Bay, during which time she received the Tampa Bay Business Journal Up & Comers Award in 2011. She graduated from the University of Florida and serves as Secretary for Tampa non-profit, OnBikes,’ board of directors.

WEEJEN LYNCH VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING Weejen Lynch joined McKibbon in 2021, bringing more than 25 years of engineering, maintenance, and operations experience to the team. Prior to joining McKibbon, Weejen supported the engineering needs of 49 resorts nationwide for Bluegreen Vacations and also held leadership positions at Walt Disney World and Lockheed Martin. He earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University followed by a Masters in Operations Research from the University of Central Florida.

BEN GOLSON VICE PRESIDENT OF DIGITAL MARKETING & eCOMMERCE Ben Golson joined McKibbon in 2012 as an SEO analyst before his promotion to director of eCommerce in 2014. In 2022, Golson was promoted to Vice President of Digital Marketing & eCommerce, leading eCommerce, digital marketing and revenue generation strategy and implementation for McKibbon’s portfolio of hotels and short-term vacation rentals. Golson served on Marriott’s Digital Franchise Committee and Hyatt’s Digital Advisory Committee. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of South Florida.

JIHAD LOTFI , CRME, MBA VICE PRESIDENT OF REVENUE MANAGEMENT Joining McKibbon’s Revenue Management team in 2021, Jihad Lotfi oversees our in-house regional revenue managers and the overall revenue strategy for our portfolio. He possesses more than a decade of hospitality revenue management experience with companies including Hotel Equities, White Lodging, and The Witness Group, receiving Regional Revenue Manager of the Year Award from White Lodging in 2013. Lotfi earned his BS in Hospitality & Tourism Management as well as his Master of Business Management from Purdue University and is a HSMAI Certified Revenue Management Executive.

KIEL LOMBARDO VICE PRESIDENT OF FOOD & BEVERAGE Kiel Lombardo joined McKibbon Hospitality in 2021 as Director of Food & Beverage for our lifestyle hotels and independent rooftop bar and restaurant concepts. In 2022, he was promoted to Vice President of Food & Beverage, leading the charge as McKibbon expands and strengthens its food & beverage focus and portfolio, as well as ensuring implementation of food & beverage brand standards across all McKibbon-managed select-service and extended-stay hotels. Prior to joining McKibbon, Lombardo served as executive chef at the newly opened Autograph Collection Luminary Hotel & Co., managing multiple F&B outlets. He also spent time as the Director of Chefs for all Roy’s Restaurants, training with the renowned Roy Yamaguchi. Lombardo previously launched a hospitality food & beverage consulting company focusing on restaurant design, concepts and branding. He graduated from the Culinary & Hospitality School in Manchester, New Hampshire.

JESS HAYDEN VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE Jess Hayden joined McKibbon Hospitality in 2017 to lead sourcing and supply chain management efforts as well as negotiations and vendor relations for our portfolio of hotels as Director of Procurement. In 2022, she was promoted to Vice President of Operational Excellence, charged with overseeing all procurement efforts, hotel openings and hotel transitions. Prior to joining the McKibbon team, Hayden served as Field Support and Customer Relations Manager for Avendra for more than 10 years, preceded by her time with Cargill Animal Nutrition and Smithfield Foods. She earned a B.S. in Food Science & Technology and Chemistry from Virginia Tech and is an active volunteer with Tampa Bay nonprofits including Metropolitan Ministries, Feeding Tampa Bay, and more.

KARL OATES VICE PRESIDENT OF LIFESTYLE HOTELS Karl Oates got his start with McKibbon in 2001, serving as General Manager of several McKibbon hotels before joining the corporate team as Director of Operations in 2017. In his current role as Vice President of Lifestyle Hotels, Karl over sees all aspects of hotel operations, including food & beverage, for the lifestyle hotels in our portfolio, including AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and our Kimpton Hotel Arras. He received Marriott International’s Southeast Region General Manager of the Year Award in 2003 and graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality.

CARRIE DUNCAN REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS Carrie Duncan began her career with McKibbon in 2012, serving in operational leadership roles at various McKibbon-managed properties including Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville and Aloft Tallahassee Downtown. Her impressive performance and leadership led to her recognition as McKibbon’s General Manager of the Region in 2018. Duncan was promoted to the role of Regional Vice President of Operations from Dual General Manager of the AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte City Center in 2021, where she now oversees a portfolio of nearly 20 hotels. She holds a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Purdue University.

KARI ELOFSON REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS Kari Elofson has served as Regional Vice President of Operations since joining McKibbon Hospitality in 2013. In this role, she oversees all facets of hotel operations for a portfolio of nearly 20 properties, lending support to general managers and coordinating with hotel ownership to ensure successful performance. Prior to joining McKibbon, Elofson served as Regional Director of Operations, preceded by her time as General Manager, for Concord Hospitality where she was awarded General Manager/Sales Leader of the Year. She also held several hotel general manager stints at properties throughout the Tampa Bay area.

ASHLEY DIXON DIRECTOR OF TALENT ACQUISITION & RETENTION Ashley Dixon joined McKibbon in 2007 as Market Director of Sales for our six Knoxville, Tennessee hotels and was later promoted to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing in 2013, where she oversaw sales and marketing efforts for a portfolio of 24 hotels throughout the Southeast. In 2021, Ashley transitioned into her current role as Director of Talent Acquisition & Retention within the Human Resource department, working to strategically secure and retain top industry talent. Prior to her time with McKibbon, Ashley held sales & marketing roles with various country clubs and private golf courses in the Knoxville area, in addition to serving as a recruiting consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Fort Lewis College.
