Awesome group to work with and they do well with our on the fly changes in scope and timeline expectations here at SWA.
AIRLINESThe team in place for this Joint Venture is one of the best groups I have worked with in my 25+ year career. They are responsive, and are always looking out for the best interest of the contract/owner. We understand that making money is important, but that happens all by itself when a group of people are working together, which the McCarthy/Barnsley team does very well.
STEVE MAURO, CPS (PROGRAM MANAGER)You all continue to be a great team to work with. Everyone is professional and respectful to all team members.

Dallas partners spent the night talking to high school construction instructors in the area for a speed networking event created by CIEF. The purpose of this event was to help align the instructors with what is going on now in the construction world that can shape their curriculum in the future!
The special high-density pour was required to manage the heat generated during the curing cycle. The walls had to be draped with thermal blankets after the pour until the curing cycle was completed. The vault was 37 x 33 feet with a 7.5-foot lid on it. Total weight of concrete for the vault was 400 tons, supported by 121 geo-pier foundations. Shoutout to the crew for its excellent work!

Client Focus Highlight
Heart Hats
Community Engagement & Outreach
In 2020, Dallas completed the Collin College Technical Center, a four building campus expansion providing new teaching spaces for MEP, welding, carpentry, automotive, healthcare, and robotics. Collin College has proven to be an example of what a strategic client should be -
At the start of 2023, the Dallas Business Unit agreed to a five-year sponsorship of the construction safety lab at Collin College Technical Campus. The safety lab will offer hands-on educational opportunities to students in the construction management program. The construction management program is a “two plus two,” where students earn an associate degree after their first two years with the option to continue to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
The lab will serve to build a pipeline of talent for the construction industry and offer construction students real-world learning opportunities. McCarthy will provide guest lectures and demonstrations at the lab, as well as programs taught by female leaders from McCarthy’s Partnership for Women, a national resource group focused on supporting women in the industry.
This partnership continues to support multiple region-wide goals, including:
Strategic partnership with clients based on shared values
Building and volunteering in the communities we serve
A dedication to developing, training, and recruiting the upcoming workforce
Genuine investment in safety
At the beginning of March, Ruth Milian, Senior Project Safety Manager, and Srishti Chadha, Preconstruction Manager, kicked off Women in Construction Week early by presenting at Collin College on owning your development. Ruth and Srishti covered topics such as defining success in one’s life, building self-efficacy, and the importance of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
After Ruth and Srishti’s presentation, they took part in a panel discussion along with Swaroop Ashok, Senior MEP Estimator, and representatives from the Professional Women in Building Council.
The team is extremely professional, knowledgeable and collaborative. The team is always engaged and constantly looking for project to be successful by innovatively thinking through schedule, budget and constructability challenges. One of the best teams I have ever worked with in my career.

Communicate across business units
Give recognition of the Region’s current efforts to inspire other teams
Provide tools to work through new opportunities
As the region continues to grow in revenue, it is important that margin grows with it. Representing the true owners of McCarthy across the region, the Entrepreneurial Spirit team will develop and encourage partners to look for strategic opportunities to add value to projects for the ESOP as well as for our clients.
By leveraging our McCarthy subject matter experts across the company our team ensures that these tactics are well planned and executed minimizing the risk taken on by our project teams while adding maximum value to our projects.

The Yard made a record $3.35M in profit in 2022. This profit is the Region’s and is being reallocated back to the Business Units. This profit redistribution is based on revenues within our Yardspecific categories. We couldn’t have achieved this number without the continued support from our Business Units.
