Dr. Les Ollila received a B.A. and an L.L.D. honorary degree from Bob Jones University. He also received a D.D. honorary degree from FaithWay Baptist College of Michigan. He served more than five years with Life Action Revival Ministries. After pastoring in South Carolina, he served 10 years as associate pastor and director of youth ministries at Calvary Baptist Church of Roseville, Michigan. Besides directing Leadership Ministries, he authored Manna, a devotional, and the Foundation for Youth Programs. He is a nationally recognized seminar and conference speaker in the areas of leadership training, Christian educators’ conferences, family-centered church meetings, summer camps and Christian school ministries. He served as president of Northland Baptist Bible College from 1984-2002. Dr. Ollila now serves as Chancellor. He and his wife, Charlene, have three children and ten grandchildren.

There are times in life when the walk of faith seems quite frustrating and almost futile to us. Maybe it’s your attempt to take a stand for righteousness only to see that effort “backfire” and land you in a sea of relational “hot water”. Or, perhaps it’s a personal decision to really get serious about spending time with God each day which, after much forethought and effort, lasts only for a week or two. Let’s face it, living out your faith on a daily basis may seem as difficult as trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. But God doesn’t leave us with an empty exhortation. In fact, His command to live for Him is preceded by the promise that He has provided for us absolutely everything we need for a diligent pursuit of godliness in this new life to which He has called us.
