June is Men's Health Month! Join us in making men's health a priority by making prevention a priority. Did you know more African American men are being diagnosed with and dying of prostate cancer. According to ZERO Prostate, a group devoted to the prevention and ght against prostate cancer, it’s estimated one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. But the group also notes that number increases to one in seven for African American men. This is why it is important to do prostate screenings early! Rialto will be providing health checks, resources, giveaways and more. We have a few events happening that are listed in our “Event” section of the newsletter!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Mayors Water Challenge for 2022! Mayor Robertson is dedicated to water conservation and environmentally couscous choices for our beautiful city and your participation goes a long way. Rialto would like to send a huge congratulations to the 5 winning cities of the challenge including: Laguna Beach, California, Palm Coast, Florida, Miramar, California, Sacramento, Arizona and, Houston, Texas. The top-vote-getting charities for each of the 5 winning cities will now be invited to win the 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE to serve their community. Winning city residents will also be entered into a drawing for hundreds of eco-friendly prizes including the Toro, ECO, Petal, and other prizes including $3,000 for a year's worth of home utilities. Again, thank you to those who participated, including Owen Knapper, a high school senior at Carter High and intern working on the Mayor’s Water Challenge and the Climate Action Summit. He shared his thoughts about how students can lead with raising awareness regarding conservation and good practices in regards to a drought. Thank you Owen! We hope everyone is taking water saving actions all year round!
