With both contemporary and traditional designs, Matthews’ distinctive craftsmanship ensures low-maintenance niches, built to stand the test of time. All our products are custom designed using highquality materials, including solid metal extrusions and no plastic parts.
Each individual Matthews’ niche opening is interlocked, secured and supported from all four sides. This increases durability and ensures no sagging or deflection.
Matthews’ glass-front niche systems also have an exclusive “hidden seam” feature ensuring that future additions can be made without developing a stacked shelving appearance.

Matthews can modify the standard opening dimensions to meet your exact specifications and maximize every inch of available space with niche openings versus trim that does not generate revenue.
Our niche openings are available in eight standard sizes to allow for single, double, family and feature niches. Niche units can be designed to include any combination of standard and custom sizes.

Matthews’ most elaborate and ornate design, the Victorian features large bronze rosettes and wide bronze bars, displaying a generous amount of warm, natural bronze.
Serenity*
The contemporary Serenity design offers a clean, sleek look, providing a beautiful frame to any urn.
The Classic design uses a contemporary polished bronze bar with pyramid rosettes, giving a clean, modern appearance.
Matthews’ rosettes conform to the shape of the niche and lock into place to ensure the most secure fit and cleanest look possible.
EXTRUSIONS & FINISHES
Matthews’ bronze extrusions offer an exceptional combination of beauty and permanence. From our Trellis designs to custom cast bronze niche fronts, they are built to last with options for interior and exterior installations.
A cost-efficient alternative to our bronze extrusions, we also offer anodized aluminum and stainless steel extrusions that provide both durability and long-term value.
All of our extrusions are available in a range of colors and finishes. For a custom designed look, they can also be painted to complement your existing décor.

And our custom cast bronze niche front designs, such as biblical images or nature scenes, often flow toward the ceiling making the hard-to-sell niches near the top premium locations.
