"I love the theme "Saints in the Making" for this school year. To me becoming a Saint is all about finding out and following what God has planned for you with a joyful spirit. It seems fitting that this is the theme for my class's senior year because we are all already so focused on figuring out what we will be doing in the future with college and career choices. It's a nice way to remember that God already has our future figured out and all we need to worry about is doing our best to love each other in the present moment. For the past year, I have been discerning my vocation, and while I don't yet know what my vocation is I know that if I always do my best to stay close to God and say yes to his plan, someday I can become a Saint. I hope that this school year brings us all closer to God and that we can all become more familiar with his love for us."

Senior Isabelle Koch shared laughs with a veteran after the Veterans Day program.

Senior, Isabelle Koch “I am called to be a saint and so are you. By striving for this goal, we can become the people that God made us to be. Though we will experience trials as well as our own weaknesses, it’s important to remember that holiness does not equal perfection. It simply means trusting and surrendering to God’s will in the present moment. He truly knows what’s best for us. When we trust in God, we will find meaning and peace. His grace is sufficient to help us to become saints. I am extremely grateful to work in a school where our theme happens to be God’s universal call for each one of us; to be a saint in the making!” Theology Teacher, Jeremy Goebel ‘06, led the class in prayer before starting their day.
