SNOW HAPPENS
Hopefully we will soon see the flowers of Spring, but until then we need to remember a few things about the Winter weather.
• The Mayor, at his discretion, may declare a snow and ice emergency. We will announce the snow emergency through TV, radio and social media.
• Please secure off-street parking in anticipation of the snow. This will allow the plows to push the snow to the curb.
• Snow Emergency Routes - Borough Square - Cameron Street - Doe Run (both sides) - Greenbrier (west side) - Ridgeview Drive (south side) - Verbeke Street (both sides) - Williams Street (south side)
• Do not place snow from sidewalks or private property onto the street. • Snow which is removed from the street to provide space for parked cars must be deposited adjacent to curbing and not placed in travel lanes. • Snow and ice must be removed from all sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowstorm has ended.
• After any snow emergency due to accumulation of ice or two or more inches of snow, please do not: - park a motor vehicle on an snow emergency route, or - drive any motor vehicle on said route, unless the vehicle is equipped with snow/all season tires or chains.
