Project K-9 Hero is devoted to protecting the dogs who protected our families and our communities, and ensures the best quality of life for our nation’s retired K-9 Heroes by aiding with medical costs, food, rehabilitation, adoption and end of duty services.
K9 Flash went from wandering the streets alone as a puppy to scoring 100% on her law enforcement test- a hero's hero! Flash retired in 2013 and spent the rest of her life with her handler, Jason Johnson, the founder of Project K-9 Hero, who credits her as the inspiration behind the organization. Her heroic efforts earned her 2018 Dog of the Year and she has not one but TWO children's books about her inspiring story!
