180 new patient beds and 210 more jobs CRAIG WINTER A TIMELY opening of new aged care facilities catering for respite, permanent, high care and dementia patients is slated for April 2022. Developed by family-owned Signature group, the home has already taken many enquiries both from those seeking care for loved-ones as well as the local community inquiring about employment opportunities. It is estimated that the new home will provide around 210 additional jobs for Maryborough. Fraser Coast TESS CEO Lance Stone said that projects such as Maryborough Community Aged Care would give new jobseekers a much needed boost once they’d completed training. “Aged care is a growing and much needed sector in our community” he said.
