We’ve been busy here at MartinPatrick 3, constantly evolving our space and services to provide a shopping experience unlike anything in the world. We recently launched a new addition to our retail space called The Mart (read more on page 3) as well as launched a brand new website to encapsulate the full MartinPatrick 3 shopping experience.
As our clients would tell you, you don’t know until you go. While the world evolves into an ever online and digital landscape, we firmly believe there’s something priceless about an in-person shopping trip and staff that is so hospitable that you can’t help but share your experience with everyone you know. It’s part of why we’ve stayed true to our North Loop, Minneapolis location and continued to reinvest, evolve, and find new ways to uniquely welcome guests into our space.

When the North Loop neighborhood was going through a challenging time in 2021, Aileen Johnson and her neighbors decided to do something about it. Meet the Neighborhood Safety Groups, a self-funded, grassroots group that believes that one person can make a difference and that everyone should try. Since 2021, neighbors have been meeting weekly to join together and walk their streets to help promote safety, community, and a great place to live for all.
“I first met Dana at a North Loop City Council meeting where I shared my idea. Right away, he offered to have MartinPatrick 3 design and pay for our t-shirts, which is the signature piece of our identity that helps our community find us,” shared Aileen, co-founder of the group.
While they began in the North Loop, word quickly spread of their mission and other neighborhoods decided to follow suit. Today, twelve local groups across Minneapolis are quickly growing the initiative to move forward in a spirit of friendship and optimism as they help city officials address safety concerns in the community.
In addition to walks, the organizations regularly meet with park and neighborhood officials to learn more
about their work, tour their facilities, and gain insight into how they can work together to keep our communities safe.
“We’ve helped with everything from identifying and fixing over 80 lights on the James Rice Parkway to creating a peaceful Fourth of July around Bde Mka Ska free of dangerous fireworks. In fact,” Aileen shares, “First Precinct Inspector Bill Peterson credits us with reducing auto theft in the area through our education program and consistent community walks.”
The possibilities are endless when neighbors unite to make a difference. We’re proud to support Neighborhood Safety Groups, and hope you’ll see one of our orange shirts in your neighborhood soon. To learn more and get involved, visit mplsneighborhoodsafetyclubs.com
ere at MP3, we always hold a special place for furry friends. Whether they’re joining you to provide a tail-wag of approval on your latest picks at MartinPatrick 3 or tagging along on your walk around the neighborhood, we love meeting the four-legged companions of our clients.
As part of our sponsorship of the Neighborhood Safety Clubs, MartinPatrick 3 is proud to sponsor the North Loop Dog Park and further encourage neighbors to learn more and participate in their local Neighborhood Safety Club. Let’s make our streets safe for people and pets alike!
We want to hear from you! Send us a photo of your pet in the store for a chance to be included in the next issue of The MP3 Standard.

With over 30 years of design collaboration and friendship, when Maryann Goldstein and David Benditt were ready to downsize from their Edina home, Greg and the MartinPatrick 3 Interiors team were their first call to bring their next chapter to fruition at Eleven Residences in Minneapolis.
After years in a traditional French-style home filled with antiques and classic furnishings, also designed by MP3, they decided it was time for a change—something small, more contemporary, and yet still rich with character.
MartinPatrick 3 was involved from the very beginning, collaborating with the clients even before the unit was built out. “We were part of the original design package for the whole building,” Greg explained. “We worked with Maryann and David from the beginning, customizing everything from the media room to the lighting throughout the unit to adding custom built-ins.”
The move to Eleven Residences marked a significant transition for Maryann and David. They’d spent years curating a storied collection of artwork, antiques, and unique design pieces from around the world, and downsizing meant a significant edit to their collection.

The vision? A chic, Parisian-inspired apartment with a modern twist—one that would blend contemporary elements with their love for French art deco.
The couple’s new space is a playful juxtaposition of modern and traditional. Having brought with them an extensive art collection, including a growing assortment of contemporary Japanese pieces, the design needed to seamlessly integrate these with the new art deco elements of the architecture. The result is a space that feels both timeless and fresh, a sophisticated blend of old and new.
The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the apartment, customized to fit the couple’s vision. “We reconfigured the kitchen cabinetry and created special built-ins that give the space a bespoke feel, a necessary counterbalance to the potential cookie-cutter nature of a multifamily high-rise,” shared Arielle, the project’s co-designer.
One of the standout features of the apartment is how the old and new are effortlessly combined. “The fireplace, for example, has both modern and elegant elements, but it still retains that classic art deco feel,” Greg pointed out. “It’s hard to tell what they had before and what’s new because it all blends so gracefully.”
This seamless integration is also evident in the powder room, where a console table from their previous dining room was repurposed as a vanity. Paired with a vintage snake sconce and a unique faucet, even the most compact corners of the space exude charm and character.
“The snake sconce, side tables, office lighting, and a few other key pieces for their home were sourced from High Style Deco in New York City. Howard Williams, the owner, is a friend of Maryann’s, making these pieces even more personal,” said Arielle.
What truly sets this project apart is the clients’ willingness to embrace bold design choices. “Maryann and David are both very comfortable with color and willing to take design risks,” shared Greg. “They didn’t want a stark, personality-free environment. They’re well-traveled, exposed to different cultures, and deeply interested in art, so they weren’t afraid to take chances.”
This openness allowed the design team to strike a balance between creating a vibrant space without creating overwhelm. Thematically, shades of blue are woven throughout the apartment, appearing in unexpected places like the sofas, headboard, and office space. “It’s fun because you can drop any color into the room, and it still works like a neutral base,” Greg added.
Arielle reflected on the process with fondness. “It’s been a joy to get to know them as people and work on this beautiful unit. We’ve continued to refine and develop the space as they live in it, and it’s always a pleasure to help with even the smallest details.”
Greg attributes much of the project’s success to the couple’s slow design approach to furnishing their home. “They have a very European attitude about it—they don’t chase trends. They buy pieces they want to keep for life and add to their collection over time,” he said. “The transition to the condo was a big deal because they had to let go of some things and reevaluate what was truly important, but it means only bringing their most timeless, significant pieces and making room for for more highlycustomized furnishings.”
This philosophy of “do it once, do it right” has resulted in a space that feels both curated and deeply personal. Every item has a story, a resonance with the couple, which is what makes their new space at Eleven feel so uniquely their own. “We wanted anyone to walk into their home and know right away that it’s David and Maryann’s,” said Arielle. It’s a home where tradition meets modernity, where the past is honored, and the future is embraced with open arms.
The chicest fall styles get the long weekend treatment.

This spring, we welcomed Twin Cities Ferrari with a selection of their finest (and fastest) cars for a unique test drive experience.
On a buzzing spring afternoon, we welcomed women from across the Twin Cities to join us not only for shopping our newest selection of womens apparel with a Tres Leches crafted cocktail but for a spin around the block in the world’s finest driving machines.
To fully leverage the timeless elegance and power of a Ferrari, new clients can learn from the experts in Corso Pilota, a weekendlong opportunity to drive your car with the world’s best driver instructors, developing confidence and skill while staying in luxury accommodations with 5-star on-track hospitality.
To cap off the afternoon, each attendee was gifted a pair of Italian leather driving gloves to ensure their next trip included both comfort and style. With a DJ spinning tunes, we were living La Dolce Vita, with a little extra horsepower.
From buttery leather boots to structured statement jackets, there’s so much to love about fall fashion. Build your wardrobe with these stylist favorites for the season’s crisp, golden days.
In celebration of the USA Gymnastics Olympic Trials this summer, the iconic Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis came alive with a host of local food vendors, artisans, and of course, gymnasts transformation into the charming “Promenade Du Nord.” MartinPatrick 3 took the Parisian vibes to a whole new level with a show stopping display in the crowned corner windows of Dayton’s Project.
Using our espresso cart, a selection of fine fashion from both our mens and womenswear departments, and a few skilled stylists with a Sharpie, the window display transported us to the quintessential streets of Paris with a touch of whimsy, just in time for Minnesota’s own Suni Lee to flip into the finals.
