When the first five-star hotel arrived in Minneapolis, it was cause for celebration. This multi-level showcase of the hotel was complete with an immersive experience in every room. From a dream-like dessert wonderland to our very own team of synchronized swimmers, Four Seasons Minneapolis’ Opening Party was an evening we’ll savor far beyond summer.
To showcase poolside style, models donned Orlebar Brown swimsuits and the brand sent guests home with their classic Terry Toweling Polos after each performance.
Todd Pinzuti of Bungalow Six was the curator of the evening. We caught up with him to hear more about his inspiration behind such an opulent, beautiful night.
What were your inspirations behind this event?
Four Seasons’ team wanted to elevate the already beautiful new spaces and show guests how to use them. My personal goal in this was to collaborate with as many talented
vendors as I could (31 in total!). Minneapolis was ready for a 5-star property and this was my chance to showcase the immense talent in our community.
I’d say the Sweet Suite, our dessert lounge, of course, watching Dessa perform, and the completely bonkers floral throughout from Apricot Floral.
You’ve long been a friend and collaborator of MP3. What makes them a fit to work with for your business?
MP3 just understands collaboration. They are always ready with genius ideas, top-notch staff, and a true knack for elevating experiences. I believe as a small business you are nothing without strong vendor partnerships and MP3 consistently delivers.
The Loupe offers the finest selection of luxury jewelry in the Twin Cities, featuring thoughtfully purveyed pieces and a shopping experience curated with an exquisite level of detail. In addition to curating a collection from designers across the world, The Loupe is honored to welcome one of the most visionary artists in fine jewelry to Minneapolis this fall. Meet Silvia Furmanovich and her collection of handcrafted jewelry, established in São Paulo in 1998.
Above all, Furmanovich is curious, and often takes inspiration from her travels to influence each new collection. She shares, “I love finding something unexpected in a remote part of the world and transform it into jewelry that someone will cherish. I welcome the pleasure of creating precious objects that tell vivid stories.”
Upon return from her recent trip to Uzbekistan, her most recent collection
Silk Road incorporates vintage textiles and silk weaving that are inspired by the towns she visited that were key players in the Silk Road, a 4,000-mile ancient trade route between China and the Roman Empire.
years. This trip brought about a quest to understand diverse textile traditions among Uzbekistan’s finest fabric makers, silk weaves, and vintage dealers.
She was inspired to represent the textiles she discovered within rich suzani and ikat traditions, using her signature techniques of marquetry, miniature painting and bamboo weaving. Throughout the collection, you’ll see her fascination with the exchange of ideas and culture, including earrings handcrafted by female weavers on a loom using pure silk. In fact, there are more than 1,600 tiny knots on a single pair of earrings.
The exchange of ideas and techniques shared between these diverse ancient cultures echoes the cross-pollination of culture Furmanovich has used throughout her work for over twenty
This fall, you have the opportunity to see the masterful work, and the artist, yourself. Join us on November 17th and 18th as we welcome Silvia to Minneapolis for the first time for the brand’s trunk event, featuring this esteemed collection. For more details and to RSVP, visit theloupempls.com.

At this year’s Polo Classic, attendees topped their fashionable getups with a variety of showstopping hats, and MartinPatrick 3 kept guests comfortable throughout the match. We were honored to host the Hat Parade with local style experts Grant Whittaker, Madeline Nachbar, Kate Nelson, Sarah Edwards, and our own Todd Fliginger as judges to award a few lucky attendees with the title of “Most Fashionable Hat.” Add a glass of champagne, and the MP3 tent was a knock-in.
“Stemming from tradition, attendees often use a polo match as a way of showing off their Sunday best, the latest trends, and looks pulled directly from the runway. The annual Polo Classic event, a Twin City tradition in itself, is a way of celebrating a great sport and gives attendees a chance to show their appreciation for life’s finest --all while benefiting a great cause--equine welfare. The MP3 Style Guide was a great way to tie in modern luxury and curate enthusiasm both before and during the event! ”
No matter where you go in the Twin Cities, it’s likely that you’ve seen Houston White’s name around town. The designer and community leader has been keeping busy this year, most recently with the launch of his new line at Target.
When he’s not spending time in Camdentown at Get Down Coffee Co. or his barbershop, you’ll catch him around town sporting an original design from Houston White Co. On a day off, you’ll find him on the golf course wearing his highlyanticipated golf line, VIICTORY.
This summer, we welcomed Houston and his new golf line into the store for a private shopping event and celebration of the new line. I sat down with Houston this fall after his Be The Change golf tournament to learn more about what drew him to creating this colorful collection of activewear.
“I love the country club aesthetic,” he shares, “but wanted to add more culture to it. Golf is one of the few sports you can play throughout your entire life, and time spent on a golf course can be good for both your health and your career.”
Houston is on a mission to democratize the golf course and make the game he loves accessible to all. Each year, the tournament brings together people who might not otherwise cross paths for a round of golf, great conversation, and the chance to build lasting relationships with members of the Black community.
“None of us can grow in a sea of sameness,” he says. It’s a mantra that he uses throughout his work as both a community activist and designer.
The inspiration behind the collection was to bridge the gap between affluence and culture in a blend of unique colors and prints. White was inspired by the tradition of classic Ralph Lauren pieces, but also loved the opulence and grandeur of the wardrobe in the 1988 classic, Coming to America.
The collection quickly sold out and was further confirmation for White that there is room for every kind of style on the golf course. When asked what he has in mind for the next release, he’s dreaming big and reimagining the future of golf.
“With both the golf line and the tournament, the goal is always to look good, play fast, and have fun. Partnering with MartinPatrick 3 was a natural collaboration because they represent fashion at the highest level. As a kid at North High, I would read the Robb Report religiously. Having my own clothing in a store like this was exciting–there’s nothing like MartinPatrick 3.”
The moody colors of fall meet the historic brick walls of Minneapolis Club this season. From racquetball to reading rooms, this city staple has been the host to lively gatherings and exchanges of ideas since 1907. With over 110 years of hosting locals under their belt, they aren’t slowing down in 2022.
Sip a martini with us in the parlor and pile on another sweater. We aren’t planning on leaving anytime soon.
A cornerstone of Minnesota street style is our outerwear. Make a statement upon arrival with overcoats from Dusan, Isabel Marant, CO and Dries Van Noten.
With playful prints and a mix of textures, lounging with friends at the club has never looked better.
Nestled in the Minnetonka beach neighborhood just steps from The Lafayette Club, this expansive home was a work of art created by a team of craftsmen from across the state. Brought to life by the interior design team at MartinPatrick 3, the Woodbridge Project is one of our favorites to date.
At first glance, it’s clear that this was no small undertaking. At over 7000 square feet including a guest house, this home was a complete gut and remodel, allowing the clients to truly instill their creative vision for each space.
“The client had a passion for materials and wanted to find unique things they went from a very traditional home to this natural modern home that emphasizes all of the nature they’re surrounded by near the lake.”
Suzanne Kickhaefer, the lead interior designer on the Woodbridge Project, shares as she details the many ways the team customized each detail of the home design.
With an emphasis on thoughtful mixed materials, sourcing was a unique challenge and a key part of the process for Suzanne.
“We wanted to emphasize the visual interest through textures, so juxtaposing the natural palette and clean lines with a variety of concrete, brick, blackened ash, and steel gave the home an unexpected edge.”
The entire process was one of experimentation. How can the team find a material for the exterior that won’t patina like cedar, but would stay unique and consistent for years to come? How heavy can the rolled steel-fronted cabinets really be? How to balance using live-edge walnut in the bathroom with handmade tiling and blackened steel?
Throughout, Suzanne worked with local tradespeople to find shades and textures that could live in harmony together throughout the space. Many of these materials were created after numerous attempts and experimenting to get exactly what the client envisioned.
“It was a great team of people,” Suzanne remarked. “They were filled with smart ideas and a willingness to try new things, and the client had such passion throughout the design process. It made the entire project like a puzzle of incredible handcrafted materials that was so exciting to see brought to life.”
Special thanks to Charlie & Co. Design, Andersen Reda, Bauer Metal, Mark Hurley, and all of the vendors and craftspeople who devoted their time and talents to this project.
The only thing that could make a vineyard visit better would be pairing it with a parade inspiration. This summer, that’s exactly what we did. On a golden July evening, MartinPatrick 3 collaborated with 7 Vines Vineyard for a fashion show that showcased luxury style in their lush, rolling hills. Guests sipped on the vineyard’s favorite wines as Grant Whittaker styled looks from Dries Van Noten, Etro, Isaia, and Proenza Schouler, among others.
“From the moment I started working events at 7 Vines Vineyard, I saw a huge potential for fashion shows. I wanted to create that high fashion experience for our guests, and MP3 and Grant Whittaker saw the vision immediately and it all came together.”

Amanda Rose is a wardrobe stylist that helps her clients choose smart investment pieces that make getting dressed easy. By loving every single item in your wardrobe, it makes honing your style easy with mix-andmatch, timeless pieces.
We chatted with Amanda about what she’s loving in the store lately, and what she’d pick on a shopping trip of her own.
MP3: Amanda, you’ve been shopping with us for your clients as a personal stylist for some time now, but let’s talk about you. Do you have a personal favorite brand from our collection you love to wear?
AMANDA: I am currently a little Italy obsessed after a recent dreamy vacation to said paradise. Therefore, I’m going with Etro. It’s not that I have a true “collection” but, I certainly aspire to! The complexity of their patterns and knits and the quality and timelessness of their pieces make
Etro a solid wardrobe investment. I am also excited to see what freshness their new Creative Director, Marco de Vincenzo delivers.
MP3: What is one brand or product at Martin Patrick 3 you wouldn’t want your clients to miss if sending them to the store?
AMANDA: Just one?!?! I’m going to have to go with categories here…
For women, Cara Cara dresses and skirts. I’ve not had a single client who hasn’t fallen in love with the Cara Cara pieces I’ve pulled from MP3 for them. Vivid prints on fantastic fabrics that fit great for a modern romantic vibe.
For men, I always defer to the MP3 stylists when it comes to the well-dressed man. However, I do not sleep on picking up an Eleventy single-breasted, unstructured jacket. It may become the hardest working piece in your/his closet. Easy to dress up or down, and travels like a dream.
And of course, we must always add jewelry from The Loupe! Jewelry is life. If my home were on fire… you wouldn’t get me out of it without my Hoorsenbuhs padlock pendant.
MP3: What is your favorite part about shopping at MartinPatrick3?
MARK: Jill, Dylan, Todd, Megan, & Hoss to name a few! I am essentially a hunter-gatherer. I rely on the product knowledge and vision of these peeps when it comes to shopping for my clients. They make my job easy and I would consider all of them friends (with impeccable style) too.
Life as an MP3 pup is anything but ruff. As dog lovers, we designed our space to be dog-friendly and ensure your furry companion will always be treated with the same level of care and attention that we give to our customers. Meet a few of the cutest customers we’ve had in the shop over the last few months.

On a quiet Monday afternoon, Pedro Wolcott’s blue Vespa is parked out front, work-fromhome neighbors are milling about, and there’s a quiet hum about the North Loop. On a day off for restaurant staff, Pedro came in specifically to show us around his dream come true. Wolcott reflects as we sip on crafted mango cocktails from the infamous Meteor, one of the finest mixology spots in town.
It’s not often you get to sit down with the head chef of a new North Loop restaurant, and it’s especially rare to feel so welcomed and celebrated upon your arrival.”
“I want everyone who walks in here to feel welcome. Have a drink in your hand and feel like you’re part of the neighborhood, just like how it was growing up in Panama and living in New Orleans.”
The restaurant approaches fine dining in a refreshingly casual way with a strict no-reservation policy. The space is designed with high ceilings, bright colors, and wide wooden tables to facilitate easy sharing of both conversation and cuisine. Order at the counter, but don’t expect fast-food quality dishes.
The menu is inspired by both familial top-secret recipes and the comfort food Pedro cooks on a regular basis at home. “This right here,” he points to the Carne en Palito, “is my mother’s recipe. She came in a few weeks ago and tried it, and luckily she approves. To me, this tastes like childhood.”
Upon learning that I’d never tried rum raisin ice cream, Wolcott immediately got up to scoop me a hearty bowl of the bright orange housemaid flavor. It was unexpected and to die for.
The expansive patio will soon have a large, colorful sign accompanying the dozens of tables and tropical flowers outside. It will look like nothing else in the North Loop. “That’s me, you know?” Pedro smiles, “I’m just doing my thing.”
“Doing his thing” comes as the North Loop swings back into action, but has been a lifetime in the making for Pedro. Originally planning to open the restaurant in 2020, he put his dream on hold and dove into community work to help feed and assist the downtown neighborhoods and beyond in the height of the pandemic and the wake of George Floyd’s murder.
As he revisited his dream earlier this year, the community showed up for him in the same way he’d shown up for them months before.
“Guayaca Bistreaux came together with the help of the community. Dana [of MartinPatrick 3] helped me find this space, my friends from Panama and New Orleans created the artwork, the light fixtures were given to us from Hennepin Made, and even the sausage we use is made in collaboration with Kramarczuks.”
“I want people to be walking down the street and feel like they can wander in for a drink or fill a table with tapas and friends. My hope is when they visit once, they’ll always come back.”
And how right he is. After only an hour with Pedro, I’ve been telling everyone I know to visit this not-for-long hidden gem. Stop by after your next shopping trip to MartinPatrick 3–you won’t regret it.

Our alleyway often evokes a European sensibility, and that al-fresco feeling was alive and well at our pre-party for Walker Art Center’s Avant Garden Gala. We welcomed Jim Shay, the President of ISAIA, to kick off the celebration. With ISAIA’s master tailor and impeccable menswear in tow, guests were able to find their perfect fit while indulging in woodfired pizza and Aperol spritzes.
You may have seen our newest addition cruising around the North Loop. Meet our E-Tuk, a vehicle meant to bring the party wherever it goes. Even better: our Marketing Director, Anthony, got his motorcycle license specifically to drive this stunner around town.
With a dress code of “creative cocktail” and ticket tiers that ranged from “Influencer” and “Trendsetter” to “Groundbreaker,” the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden was alive for a celebration with all the spectacular sights and sounds that we’ve come to expect from this late summer tradition. Our style guide set the tone for this fundraising experience like no other. Take a peek inside one of the most colorful, creative nights in Minneapolis.
What better backdrop for a season of style than one of the Midwest’s most iconic modern art museums? We took over the Walker in the glow of an August evening to show a few of our favorite ways to incorporate color and texture into your Avant Garden look. In this style guide for attendees, we curated looks that complemented the event’s aesthetic and generate excitement for one of the most creative and colorful evenings of the year.
Not only did Jim Shay and his wife Eleni Makriannis join us for an Italian alleyway evening, but they attended Avant Garden as our guests of honor. It was only fitting that we donated an artisan ISAIA jacket to the fundraising auction benefitting the Walker Art Center. As avid supporters of local and modern art, MartinPatrick 3 was honored to be a sponsor of Avant Garden. We danced the night away among the illuminated sculptures, and are already counting the days until we can do it again next September.
We’re letting you in on our best-kept secrets in the Twin Cities.

To add to the MN Fashion Week fun, we hosted our fifth annual ‘All Black Attire Party’ with the help of IAMMOODY Productions. On a cool September evening, guests donned their most chic all-black outfits and experienced this red carpet show, featuring a live performance by Native storyteller and dancer, Larry Yazzie with DJ Cousin Christopher. With a fashionable ensemble of MP3 looks and the ancestral artistry of Yazzie’s traditional dance style, it was the perfect way to celebrate MN Fashion Week with local designers and creatives alike.
