URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT FOR A PORTION OF BAT YAM, ISRAEL
La Commissione Locale per la Pianificazione Urbanistica e l'Edilizia di Bat Yam, cittadina israeliana situata nella zona centrale della fascia costiera, immediatamente a sud di Tel Aviv, ha recentemente approvato un piano di rinnovamento edilizio del quartiere di Ramat Hanassi. Lo riporta il giornale economico israeliano Globes, che specifica che il progetto che sarà realizzato dalla società istraeliana Shapir Civil And Marine Engineering prevede la demolizione di 168 unità abitative costruite nei primi anni '60 del secolo scorso che ora versano in cattive condizioni e la costruzione al loro posto di 4 grattacieli di 30 piani ciascuno e di 5 edifici di altezza variabile tra i 4 e i 14 piani, per un totale di 950 nuovi appartamenti, oltre che di parcheggi sotterranei e aree verdi.
The City Planning and Building Commission of Bat Yam, a town located on Israel's Mediterranean Sea coast, on the central coastal strip just south of Tel Aviv, recently approved an urban renewal plan for the Ramat Hanassi district. This was reported by the Israeli business magazine Globes, which states that the project – to be realized by Shapir Civil and Marine Engineering, an Israeli company – foresees demolition of 168 housing units built in the early 1960s and now in dilapidated condition, and construction in their stead of 4 30-floor towers and 5buildings having 4 to 14 floors, for a total of 950 new apartments, in addition to underground parking and green areas.
