Macchine e Impianti Lavorazione Marmo: Nuove norme EN Il settore “Macchine e Impianti Lavorazione Marmo” mantiene una leadership indiscussa a livello internazionale, con le tecnologie italiane per l’estrazione e la trasformazione delle pietre naturali stabilmente posizionate tra le eccellenze del “Made in Italy” della meccanica strumentale: esportate in oltre 120 Paesi, restano sinonimo di qualità, affidabilità e primato tecnologico. Anche in ragione di questa leadership costruttiva, l’Associazione di Categoria nazionale CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE ha da sempre investito risorse importanti nell’attività normativa, in particolare attraverso la gestione a livello europeo – in stretta sinergia con UNI – della Convenorship del WG11 del CEN TC 151 “Machines and Plants for Mining and Tooling of Natural Stones”, in capo al direttamente al Segretario Generale dell’Associazione, arch. Raimondo Lovati Tra i recenti risultati di questa gestione, vi è la recente pubblicazione di due norme di tipo C riguardanti due famiglie di macchine particolarmente importanti per la filiera della trasformazione delle pietre naturali, ovvero la: UNI EN 15571:2021 Macchine e impianti per l'estrazione e la lavorazione della pietra naturale - Sicurezza - Requisiti per macchine di finitura superficiale; UN I EN 16564:2021 Macchine e impianti per l'estrazione e la lavorazione della pietra naturale Sicurezza - Requisiti per macchine segatrici/fresatrici di tipo a ponte, comprese le versioni a comando numerico (NC/CNC); Come si evince dalla titolazione delle norme, questi standard afferiscono alla definizione dei requisiti di sicurezza per famiglie di macchine note comunemente a livello settoriale con la nomenclatura di “Frese e Centri di Lavoro a controllo numerico” (EN 16564:2021) e “Lucidatrici” (EN 15571:2021), due tra le tipologie di meccanica strumentale settoriale maggiormente diffuse nelle industrie marmifere di trasformazione, nonchè tecnologie chiave sia nel processo di finitura dei prodotti in pietra naturale cosiddetti semilavorati (lastre) che dei prodotti finiti standard e speciali (lavorati destinati all’impiego in edilizia e architettura). Le Norme sopracitate sono una revisione di precedenti standard di pari argomento pubblicati nel 2014, e la revisione appena pubblicata punta all’armonizzazione dei testi normativi attraverso una prossima e auspicata citazione in Gazzetta Ufficiale Europea (OJEU).
Stone-working machines and installations: new EN standards The “Stone-working Machines and Installations” sector maintains undisputed leadership internationally, with Italian technologies for extracting and processing natural stones stably positioned among the excellent Made in Italy products of instrumental mechanics: exported to more than 120 countries, they remain synonymous with quality, reliability and technological primacy. And due to this constructive leadership, the Italian stone sector association CON FIN DUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE has always invested great resources in standardization work, in particular through its European-level management – in close synergy with UNI – of the Convenorship of the WG11 of CEN TC 151, “Machines and Plants for Mining and Tooling Natural Stones”, headed by the association’s Secretary General, architect Raimondo Lovati. Among the recent results of this management is the recent publication of two Type C standards regarding two families of machines particularly important for the natural stone processing industry: • UNI EN 15571:2021 Machines and installations for extracting and processing natural stone – Safety – Requisites for surface finishing machines; • UNI EN 16564:2021 Machines and installations for extracting and processing natural stone – Safety – Requisites for bridge-type sawing/cutting machines, including numerical control (NC/CNC) machines. As seen in the title of the standards, they refer to defining the safety requisites for families of machines commonly known in the sector with the nomenclature of “Cutters and Numerical Control Work Centers” (EN 16564:2021) and “Polishing machines” (EN 15571:2021), two of the types of instrumental mechanics for the sector most common in stone processing industries as well as key technologies both in the process of finishing so-called semi-finished products in natural stone (slabs) as well as in standard and special finished products (to be used in building and architecture). These standards are a revision of previous standards for the machinery published in 2014, and the justpublished revision aims at harmonizing the standardization texts through an upcoming and awaited citation in the Official European Gazette (OJEU).
