CHAPT ER IN T R OD U C T ION This chapter documents the structural strategy and the application of services within the project ARC651 The Phenomenal Academy. Variations of drawing techniques have been used in order to communicate effectively the appropriate information relevant to each structural application. Information on materials, and construction strategies are recorded to contextualise how the technological strategy was informed through the iterations of the design process and visa versa. Three dimensional images aid in the understanding of construction due to the inclusion of the buildings programmatic context. Series of detail drawings have been included alongside other imagery to show the application of structural, thermal and waterproofing techniques. The end of the chapter features a portion on the application of service elements within the buildings construction and how these services are routed within the designed spaces.
