While, overall, there are more women involved in unpaid care provision than men, the relative proportion of white Irish women remains similar when compared with white British women. 8.7% of white Irish women are providing care at the lower level of time commitment. This is lower than that in the white British population (10.2%) but higher than the equivalent proportion of the Pakistani population (7.4%). In the provision of 50+ hours a week of care the same proportion of white Irish women are involved as white British women (2.4%). 6.0% of Pakistani women are involved.
