Kuata Island located in the southern Yasawa Islands, is known for its friendly hospitality, superb location, and warm waters.
On arrival, you will be welcomed and then introduced to your Marine Biologist. The day starts with a presentation providing an overview of the Marine Sanctuary surrounding the island. Your day trip also includes a guided snorkel with the Marine Biologist around the spectacular coral and low tide gardens, participation in coral planting, mangrove planting, or coral predator removal, and low tide exploration of the intertidal zone, home to some of the ocean’s weirdest creatures!

FIJI ISLAND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
This cultural day trip to the Yasawa Islands offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Fiji. Take in the sights as you cruise 1 hour 45-mins each way to this spectacular island. Engage with a local community, explore historical sites, and experience the natural beauty of the Yasawa Islands including Kuata Island. On arrival, be welcomed the traditional way with a Fijian greeting which includes a Kava drink. Then, explore the cultural centre, a historically significant cave, enjoy a meke (musical and dance) performance, participate in a Fijian craft workshop, learn about local medicinal plants, enjoy a Fijian cooking demonstration, and snorkel Kuata Island’s stunning underwater coral gardens. The day concludes with a Fijian traditional farewell.
