• Με τον όρο πρόσθετα 'τροφίμων' χαρακτηρίζονται ουσίες που προστίθενται σε τροφές, συνηθέστερα σε όσες είναι έτοιμες προς κατανάλωση, καθώς και σε ποτά και αναψυκτικά, με σκοπό να πετύχουν ένα τεχνολογικό αποτέλεσμα, όπως συντήρηση, τροποποίηση του χρώματος, της γεύσης, της υφής κ.τ.λ.

• Οι αριθμοί Ε, με τους οποίους κωδικοποιούνται και ονοματίζονται αυτές οι ουσίες, είναι ορισμοί σύντομης μορφής και αναφέρονται συνήθως στις ετικέτες συσκευασίας των τροφίμων (Wikipedia.gr)

'Food' additives : substances added to foods, beverages and soft drinks, in order to achieve a technological effect, such as maintenance, modification of the color, taste, texture . E numbers , encode and name these substances and consist short form of definitions usually refer to the labels of food packaging throughout the European Union.

Chapter 2: ΤΑΞΙΔΕΥΟΝΤΑΣ ΣΤΟ ΔΙΑΣΤΗΜΑ TRAVELLING IN SPACE D1, Primary School of Pentalofos Σπουδαίες ανακαλύψεις σπουδαίων αστρονόμων Ο Κοπέρνικος γεννήθηκε στο Τορν της Πρωσίας (σημερινή Πολωνία) το 1473 και ο Γαλιλαίος γεννήθηκε το 1564 στην Πίζα πόλη της Ιταλίας. Ο Κοπέρνικος και αργότερα ο Γαλιλαίος είπαν την άποψή τους ότι στο κέντρο του πλανητικού μας συστήματος βρίσκεται ο Ήλιος και όχι η γη. Ο Γιοχάνες Κέπλερ, Γερμανός αστρονόμος, γεννήθηκε το1571 στο Βάιλ ντερ Στατ. Ο Γιοχάνες Κέπλερ αντιλήφθηκε ότι οι πλανήτες κινούνται γύρω από τον ήλιο σε τροχιές, που δεν είναι εντελώς κυκλικές και οι οποίες λέγονται ελλείψεις. Ο Ισαάκ Νεύτωνας, Άγγλος , αστρονόμος, φυσικός, μαθηματικός, φιλόσοφος και θεολόγος, γεννήθηκε το 1643. Πολλά μαθηματικά προβλήματα της αστρονομίας λύθηκαν από τον Ισαάκ Νεύτωνα και δημοσιεύθηκαν το 1687 στο βιβλίο του με τον τίτλο «Αρχές». Διατύπωσε το νόμο της βαρύτητας. Ο Γουίλιαμ Χέρσελ, Άγγλος αστρονόμος, γεννήθηκε στο Ανόβερο το 1738. Ανακάλυψε το 1781 τον πλανήτη Ουρανό. Μέτρησε τη διάρκεια της ημέρας στον πλανήτη Άρη.

Important discoveries of great astronomers Γιώργος Σαπάνης του Ηλία Τάσος Ασλάνογλου Copernicus was born in Torun of Prussia (Poland) in 1473 and Galileo was born in 1564 in Pisa, Italy. Copernicus, and later Galileo, shared their belief with the world, that the center of our planetary system is the sun and not the earth.

Johannes Kepler, a German astronomer, was born in 1571 in Weil der Stat. Johannes Kepler realized that the planets move around the sun in orbits that are not perfectly circular and which are called ellipses.

Isaac Newton, an English astronomer, physicist, mathematician, philosopher and theologist, was born in 1643. Many math problems in astronomy were solved by Isaac Newton and were published in 1687 in his book entitled "Principles". He formulated the law of gravity.

William Herschel, an English astronomer, was born in Hanover in 1738. He discovered the planet Uranus in 1781.He measured the course of a day on Mars.

Τα πρώτα ταξίδια στο διάστημα Ο άνθρωπος πάντα ήθελε να ταξιδεύει μακριά. Η εξερεύνηση του διαστήματος ήταν ένας στόχος που κυνηγούσε συνεχώς. Έτσι, το καλοκαίρι του 1957 ο πρόεδρος της Σοβιετικής Ακαδημίας Επιστημών είπε πως στους επόμενους μήνες θα αποκτήσουμε έναν δεύτερο δορυφόρο, αλλά κανείς δεν τον πίστεψε. Η εκτόξευση του δορυφόρου θεωρούνταν ακατόρθωτη με τα μέσα της εποχής. Ο πρώτος άνθρωπος που έφτασε στο διάστημα το 1961 ήταν ο Ρώσος Γιούρι Γκαγκάριν με το Vostok 1. Ο άνθρωπος μπορεί να φτάσει κάποια στιγμή στον Άρη. Αλλά επειδή είναι πολύ μακριά και κοστίζει πολύ, στέλνουν μηχανήματα για να εξερευνήσουν το διάστημα. Humans always wanted to travel far. Space exploration was a goal that they were constantly trying to reach. So, in the summer of 1957 the president of the Soviet Academy of Sciences said that in the next few months we will have a second satellite, but nobody believed him. The satellite launch was considered impossible with the technological means of that time.

In 1961, the first man into space was the Russian Yuri Gagarin with the spaceflight Vostok 1. Eight years later, humans reached the moon with the American mission Apollo 11.

The future of space exploration Humans can get some time on Mars. But because it is too far and too expensive, they send robots to explore space. Scientists will need several years of research.

THE UNIVERSE AND THE PLANETS

THERE ARE MANY PLANETS IN THE UNIVERSE, SOME ARE BIG AND SOME ARE SMALL. THERE ARE SEVERAL STARS: THE LARGEST IS THE SUN. THERE ARE PLANETS CLOSER TO THE SUN: MERCURY IS THE CLOSEST, VENUS IS THE HOTTEST, THE EARTH IS THE ONLY PLANET WHERE THERE IS LIFE. MARS IS CALLED THE RED PLANET BECAUSE ITS SURFACE IS RED. THE LARGEST PLANETS ARE : JUPITER, SATURN, URANUS AND NEPTUNE. AROUND THE SPACE THERE ARE ALSO ASTEROIDS, METEORITES AND COMETS SPACE IS INFINITE AND THERE ARE OTHER GALAXIES

What are asteroids?

An asteroid is a large rock in outer space.

Some, like Ceres, can be very large, while others are as small as a grain of sand. Due to their smaller size, asteroids do not have enough gravity to pull themselves into the shape of a ball.

Astronomers group asteroids into different categories based on the way they reflect sunlight.

What are comets?

A comet is a small world which scientists sometimes call a planetesimal. They are made out of dust and ice, kind of like a dirty snow ball.

Meteorite An object from Outer Space, such as a rock, that falls into the Earth and lands on its surface.

E1, 3rd Experimental Primary School of Evosmos A. Αστρονόμοι- Astronomers Εύδοξος o Κνίδιος - Eudoxus of Cnidus (407 π.Χ. - 335 π.Χ.) Σημαντική ήταν η συνεισφορά του στην αστρονομία. Πίστευε ότι η πρώτη αρχή του Κόσμου ήταν το πυρ και ότι η έλξη του πυρός προς τα γειτονικά του σώματα δημιούργησε το σύμπαν.

His contribution to astronomy was significant. He believed that the first principle of the universe was the fire and that the attraction of fire to adjacent bodies created universe.

Αρίσταρχος Σάμιος- Aristarchus of Samos (310 π.Χ.– 230 π.Χ.) Έλληνας αστρονόμος και μαθηματικός. Είναι ο πρώτος επιστήμονας που πρότεινε το ηλιοκεντρικό μοντέλο του Ηλιακού Συστήματος, θεωρώντας τον Ήλιο και όχι τη Γη το κέντρο του σύμπαντος.

Greek astronomer and mathematician. He is the first scientist who proposed the heliocentric model of the solar system, considering the Sun and not the Earth the center of the universe

Ερατοσθένης – Eratosthenes (276 π.Χ.– 194 π.Χ.) Αστρονόμος, μαθηματικός, γεωγράφος. Ο πρώτος που υπολόγισε το μέγεθος της Γης. Κατασκεύασε ένα σύστημα συντεταγμένων με παράλληλους και μεσημβρινούς.

Astronomer, mathematician, geographer. He first calculated the size of the Earth. He build a coordinate system with parallels and meridians. Ίππαρχος ο Ρόδιος- Hipparchus of Rodes (190 π.Χ.– 120 π.Χ.) Μαθηματικός, γεωγράφος χαρτογράφος και ένας από τους σημαντικότερους αστρονόμους. Υπολόγισε με μεγάλη ακρίβεια ότι το μέγεθος του ηλιακού έτους είναι 365,242 ημέρες. Θεωρείται ο πατέρας της αστρονομίας.

Mathematician, geographer, cartographer and one of the greatest astronomers. He calculated, very accurately, that a solar year is 365.242 days. He is the father of astronomy.

Κλαύδιος Πτολεμαίος - Claudius Ptolemy (100 – 178 μ. Χ.) Διάσημος μαθηματικός, αστρονόμος και γεωγράφος. Θεωρούσε την γη ως το κέντρο του σύμπαντος, σφαιρική κι ακίνητη, και μεγαλύτερη απ' όλα τα ουράνια σώματα.

Famous mathematician, astronomer and geographer. He regarded the earth as the center of the universe, spherical and motionless, and the biggest of all the celestial bodies. Κοπέρνικος - Copernicus (1473 – 1543) Υποστήριξε ότι η Γη δεν ήταν ακίνητη και το κέντρο του κόσμου, αλλά ότι περιστρέφεται γύρω από τον ήλιο.

He argued that the Earth was not stationary and the center of the universe, but it revolves around the sun.

Γαλιλαίος - Galileo Galilei (1564 – 1642) Με τηλεσκόπιο δικής του κατασκευής παρατήρησε πρώτος τους κρατήρες, τα όρη και τις πεδιάδες στην επιφάνεια της Σελήνης.

With his own telescope construction, he first observed the craters, mountains and plains on the Moon's surface.

Γιόχαν Ελερτ Μπόντε - Johann Elert Bode (1747 – 1826) Γερμανός αστρονόμος. Ανακάλυψε τον γαλαξία Μ81. Προς τιμή του ένας αστεροειδής, ο 998 έχει το όνομά του.

German astronomer. He discovered Galaxy M 81. An asteroid, the 998 was name after him Έντγουιν Πάουελ Χάμπλ - Edwin Powell Hubble (1889– 1953) Ανακάλυψε ότι Το Σύμπαν δεν είναι στατικό αλλά ότι διαστέλλεται. Θεωρείται ως ο ιδρυτής της εξωγαλαξιακής αστρονομίας.

He discovered that the universe is not static but expanding.

He is regarded to be the founder of extragalactic astronomy. Καρλ Σαγκάν - Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996) Αμερικανός αστρονόμος και αστροφυσικός. Ανακάλυψε πως η Αφροδίτη εκσφενδονίζει θερμότητα και ο Άρης είναι μια κρύα έρημος.

American astronomer and astrophysicist. He discovered that Venus hurls heat and Mars is a cold desert.

Β. Πλανήτες - Planets Ερμής - Mercury Βρίσκεται τόσο κοντά στον ήλιο, ώστε είναι πολύ δύσκολο να τον διακρίνουμε καθαρά από τη Γη.

It is so close to the sun, that it is very difficult to be clearly distinguished from Earth. Αφροδίτη - Venus Η ατμοσφαιρική πίεση στην επιφάνεια της Αφροδίτης είναι 92 ατμόσφαιρες.

The atmospheric pressure on the surface of Venus is 92 atmospheres. Άρης - Mars Δημιουργήθηκε πριν από 4,5 δισ. Έτη.

It was created 4,5 billion years ago.

Πλούτωνας - Pluto Είναι ένας πλανήτης νάνος.- It is a dwarf planet

Κρόνος - Saturn Ο 6ος πλανήτης σε σειρά από τον Ήλιο και ο 2ος σε μέγεθος του Ηλιακού Συστήματος. Ανήκει στους λεγόμενους γίγαντες αερίων.

The 6th planet in relation to its distance from the Sun and the 2nd largest in the Solar System. It belongs to the gas giants. Ποσειδώνας - Neptune Ο 8ος , κατά σειρά απόστασης πλανήτης από τον ήλιο. Δεν είναι ορατός με γυμνό μάτι. Μοιάζει με πράσινο δίσκο. Στην αστρονομία συμβολίζεται με την τρίαινα.

The 8th planet from the Sun. It is not visible without a powerful telescope. It is like a green disk. Its astronomy symbol is the trident. Ήλιος - Sun Ο αστέρας του ηλιακού μας συστήματος και το λαμπρότερο σώμα του ουρανού. Είναι σχεδόν μια τέλεια σφαίρα με διάμετρο 1,4 εκατομμύρια χιλιόμετρα.

The star of our solar system and the brightest body in the sky. It is almost a perfect sphere with a diameter of 1.4 million kilometers.
