Founded in 1945, Maryvale has a Religious Affiliation Agreement with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

Maryvale welcomes students of all faiths and offers appropriate opportunities for the community to learn more about these faiths, leading to better understanding of other cultures and a sense of belonging for all.

Students Identify:

The lower level of the Castle has been transformed into an Innovation and Engineering Center after an increased student interest in STEAM. This area will be utilized by eight+ critical classes like Introductory and Honors Engineering, Engineering of the Human Body, Advanced Placement Studio and 2D design, and CAD/CAD II.

The Patricia J. Mitchell ’65 Leadership Institute was the first of its kind among all-girls’ schools in the Baltimore region. Leadership courses and opportunities touch every student, including financial literacy, regardless of grade level. The 2024-25 school year marks the 10 year Anniversary!

St. Julie Billiart Program The Ford Program Learning Support

Baltimore’s first all-girls’ school to create a neurodiverse learning program, the St. Julie Billiart Program, offers 2:1 support for students with diagnosed language-based learning differences.

Maryvale is an independent school and does not receive financial support from the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
