As an independent, family-run company operating out of our proprietary factory in Freiberg am Neckar, we have a production depth of over 95% and consistently set store by our credo “Made in Germany” so as to also wholly affirm and implement our quality promise by monitoring all operational processes. Day in and day out, highly motivated and able specialists undergoing specific upskilling work on the safest protective headgear systems for bikers, equestrians and skiers at our Freiberg facility. DEEP-DRAWING EQUIPMENT
Across factory space spanning over 10,000 square metres in Freiberg am Neckar, we develop and manufacture all KED® helmets in-house using state-of-the-art equipment, our capabilities ranging from design to final assembly. Our proprietary toolmaking, state-of-the-art foaming lines and injection moulding equipment, as well as our screen-printing facilities and deep-drawing capabilities, mean that we are independent and flexible. A total of 18 next-generation milling machines alone round off our capacities for production, meeting market requirements even during seasonal peak periods.
INJECTION MOULDING
GUARANTEED SUSTAINABILITY AND SAFETY We guarantee sustainability and an absence of hazardous substances in the first instance by purchasing materials from Germany or neighbouring European countries. We subject all materials and colouring agents used to continuous testing that far exceeds routine standards. We carry out certified production monitoring in cooperation with the Materials Testing Institute (MPA) at the University of Stuttgart, thus complying with the most stringent safety requirements – right down to the last detail.

VISIBLY BETTER KED® has always been a pioneer in the field of helmet visibility. By successfully introducing our unique K-Star® technology we again set a new benchmark in the helmets industry. By embedding retroreflective particles within the manufacturing process of the micro shell we offer the most effective and durable reflectivity ever seen on a bike helmet. This full shell reflector offers 360° visibility including all graphic design options.

K-Star® helmets guarantee maximum visibility for cycling in the dark. Any traffic light source striking the helmets surface will be reflected by millions of small mirror glass beads of the micro shell. The helmet will appear blazing bright with outstanding intensity.
ACTIVE VISIBILITY KED® also proves its innovative spirit with superior technology for visibility in traffic. In contrast to standard reflecting stickers, we consequentially rely upon active visibility with 2 integrated flashing safety lights with 180° visibility.
Quicksafe® flashing lights can be seen independent of an external light source. They can be identified by car drivers before they have been picked up by the headlight beam.

HIGH TECH VISOR TECHNOLOGY With the new helmets COVIS and B-VIS KEDŽ introduces another technical innovation for cycling helmets, the photochromic K-Vision visor. Our new polycarbonate shield responds to changing light conditions by adjusting the level of tint from lighter to darker. Instead of a static sun lens that’s either too dark or too light, the K-Vision
visor enhance the visual experience by dynamically controlling transmittance, allowing them to translate light in any condition for maximum comfort, performance and safety.
