The Problem
There are over 2 billion people in the world who lack access to the most basic medicines. Without access to medicine, ordinary infections become deadly, preventable diseases go untreated, and communities and families are left without hope.
According to UNICEF, approximately 30 million children will die before reaching their fifth birthday* – the majority of which were due to preventable and treatable causes like diarrheal disease, malaria, and pneumonia.
People in low-income communities, lacking essentials like nutritious food, clean water, and healthcare, face higher rates of chronic disease and live over 10 years less than those in high-income countries.

The Solution
Through the Global Health Fund, MAP brings hope and healing by delivering lifesaving medicine, health supplies and medical devices to those who need it most,

Nneka’s mother walked 3 miles carrying the 6-month-old on her back to visit Eziudo Healthcare Center in Mbaise, Nigeria. Baby Nneka had been suffering from a respiratory infection that had quickly worsened, and by now the infant was barely breathing. She was severely malnourished, and her little body was covered in painful sores.
For Nneka, and more than 4,000 others in the area, this clinic is the only healthcare option available. Because quality and affordable medicines are hard to come by in Nigeria, this clinic relies heavily on donated medicines to be able to serve their large catchment area.
Because of a recent donation from MAP, the clinic was able to provide antibiotics for little Nneka. Since beginning the medicine, she has shown rapid improvement, and is expected to make a full recovery.
What may seem like just a simple bottle of medicine to some of us can actually mean the difference between life and death for children like Nneka. For this particular baby, MAP medicine didn’t just transform her life – it changed her life.
MAP’s Model
For over 70 years, MAP has faithfully combined credibility, global reach, and a Christ-centered mission to deliver medical relief to the world’s most vulnerable populations.
Access to medicine provides more than just short-term treatment of a physical ailment; it also sparks long-term transformation.
• It restores individual health.
• It strengthens families.
• It empowers entire communities.
